We asked Molly to tell us why the car oil level was consistently getting low,as there was no oil puddle under the car.She said she would call us when she figured it out.We bought this car certified from this dealership and expected for problems like this to be taken care of under the certification.We waited for a call and didnt receive one. We called up and were told that they fixed the problem and changed the oil,and our bill was $151.87.The certification deductible is $50.We never asked to have the oil changed and explained this to Molly.She replied "Are you sure?". She proceeded to explain that we were only 200 miles away from needing a service. In reality, according to the last service sticker received from the dealership, we were closer to 500 miles and 3 months away from service. Not once did Molly offer to show us the service request write up- something we never received a copy of either. When we asked for details, Molly kept referring us to pay the invoice because the details were there. As this is the 3rd time we have had issues with the service, we will not be a returning customer. We feel we were incorrectly charged for the oil change and the level of service was subpar. We have opportunities to refer our friends to this dealership and will not be doing so in the future. Went in to look at new Subaru's at Bob Baker Subaru in Carlsbad about a month ago. John came out and met me immediately and starting getting a feel for what I was looking for in a car. He paired me up with a new XV Crosstrek, and after a quick license check, we were on a test drive. He had some good insight into the car's features and capabilities, but didn't talk my ear off with nonsense, or pressure me into a sale. When we got back, I decided to sleep on it, and try to sell my truck to carmax for the down on a new XV. The next day, I called John and told him that I could sell the car to carmax and have the check clear in a couple days, then I would come in and get a car. He said, "why bother?". They matched the carmax offer, and had a car on the lot that was exactly what I was looking for. All I did was clean all the stuff out of my truck, run it through a $5 car wash and take it in. John had me get through the paperwork, got the new car detailed, and took my truck in on trade in about an hour. It's worth mentioning that Ron Cason in financing was lightning fast. Overall, I was extremely happy with the whole buying experience, and I will let all of my friends know that John Norconk over at Bob Baker Subaru, is the guy to tank to for a new Subaru. More
