⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I’ll start with a confession: I typically trust car salespeople about as much as I trust a gas-station sushi buffet. But Robert, my auto advisor, at AutoNation completely changed my mind. We were looking for a dependable first car for my 16-year-old daughter and ended up purchasing a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze Premier. Robert truly listened to what I wanted, patiently reviewed several vehicles with me, and never once made me feel like he was trying to “sell” me something. He acted more like a trusted advisor than a typical auto salesperson. Once we selected and drove the Cruze, Robert had it put through a 120-plus-point inspection. Even though this was a nine-year-old used car, he found a few very minor items he personally wasn’t happy with and made sure they were corrected before delivery. As a family man himself, he understood that this car was for my daughter and genuinely wanted it to be as close to perfect as possible. The paperwork was also unbelievably easy. There was no sitting in the lobby for six hours while the finance department ate popcorn, drank Diet Coke, and plotted how to squeeze another $47 a month out of me. Everything was clearly presented on one sheet, including the full drive-out price. No haggling, no mystery numbers, and no surprise “undercoating protection package for the lunar alignment of the tires.” Delivery day was the best part. Robert’s sales partner, Paul, had the Cruze completely detailed and parked inside the showroom so we could surprise my daughter. When she walked in and realized the car was hers, her eyes lit up. She was shocked, excited, and completely overwhelmed. For her first “new-to-her” car experience, it could not have been more perfect. The follow-up after the sale has been just as impressive. Robert and Paul didn’t disappear the second the paperwork was signed. They continued checking in and making sure everything was right. I honestly feel like I gained two friends through this experience. The next time I need a car, truck, or SUV, I won’t waste my time driving all over South Texas. I’ll head straight back to AutoNation in Corpus Christi. They have multiple vehicle brands available from one campus, but more importantly, they have people like Robert and Paul who actually care about the customer and the experience. Thank you, Robert.
