For my 2020 BMW X5 I ordered a spare key in BMW North Scottsdale dealership last year, fob and manual key. Fob works great. As my car battery died, I tried to use manual key to open the door, but it does Scottsdale dealership last year, fob and manual key. Fob works great. As my car battery died, I tried to use manual key to open the door, but it doesn't open, only closes! My first initial manual key works great, opens and closes the door. I contacted dealership, they tried the key they cut and confirmed it doesn't work to open the door. They told me there is NO warranty for the key and suggested to schedule a service appointment with them for $280 so they will "look" into the matter (to cut manual key price was only $140)! Absolutely terrible experience! Given their exorbitant prices they do not acknowledge their shortcomings. Ok, BMW, you lost another customer. I will NEVER reach out to you anymore and will report the matter to North America BMW head office. The car is great, however customer service is terrible. More
