BMW of Camarillo

I only wish all people felt so good about their car buying experience, as I did after visiting Thomas BMW. The culture permeating Thomas BMW is pervasive, from their policy on being closed on Sunday ( buying experience, as I did after visiting Thomas BMW. The culture permeating Thomas BMW is pervasive, from their policy on being closed on Sunday (so "employees can be with their families and go to church") to the way they treat customers. For the past two days, I had had bad experiences visiting a few BMW dealerships, looking for a Certified Pre-owned 528i with GPS. I finally found dealerrater.com, and decided to try something new, find a highly rated dealer, and start there for a change. Boy am I glad I did. There is a reason why Thomas BMW is so highly rated, and I experienced it firsthand tonight. Ryan Bosman was very nice, courteous, and looked to making me feel comfortable first and foremost. No sleazy sales pressure tactics, or tricks, just pure honesty and relaxed demeanor, which put me at ease, and made the whole experience a wonderful one. Jim Martinez, a veteran of Thomas BMW of 32 years, also took time answering all my financial-related questions and helping sign the papers. I had to drive 53 miles under the rain to get to Thomas BMW from where live, so i had a few questions to be answered about the car I was interested in before I made the trek, and Ryan's manager Eric was also a huge help, calling me back, and walking in the rain to look at the car and answer my questions about it (since Ryan was busy with a client at the time and I was pressed for time). I truly appreciated how they help each other, and me. The price they had listed for the Certified Pre-owned 528i I was interested in was no BS, very low and competitive right out of the gate. They don't need to overprice the car, and have you haggle at the dealership. Another reason I love this place. This is what a buying experience should be like. Thank you Ryan, Eric, Jim and everyone at Thomas BMW! More

Bottom line: Chris and Ryan gave great, no BS, information not only on all of the purchasing options, but the operational and mechanical aspects of BMWs. I have yet to find a salesman with their information not only on all of the purchasing options, but the operational and mechanical aspects of BMWs. I have yet to find a salesman with their knowledge base (and willing to spend time sharing it), and I've been buying cars for over 40 years. Now about the price. What got me to Chris in the first place was his price (via the internet). It was significantly lower than the few others I received. Most other internet BMW contacts want you to come in to get a price. The first time I came in to Thomas BMW to follow up on the great price, I was expecting to get a lot of pressure to add options and dealer added BS stuff (e.g., paint protectant). Didn't happen. To the end, they were looking for ways for me to save money. Would I buy from them again? Well I've done it twice, and as soon as the 2011 X3 is available, I'll be back to see them. Warning, if you like to talk cars, be prepared to spend some time. More

In writing this review I must first begin with I am very skeptical of car dealers and car salesmen. I have never had a good experience purchasing a new car, and I view the task as something I dread rather skeptical of car dealers and car salesmen. I have never had a good experience purchasing a new car, and I view the task as something I dread rather than something that I enjoy; that was until now and having met Ryan Amico at Steve Thomas BMW. Ryan was very professional in his demeanor and his product knowledge is unparalleled. I had visited a few other BMW dealers throughout the greater LA area and he by far is the most knowledgeable and helpful sales professional that I encountered. Ryan took a great deal of time with me and never made me feel rushed or pressured throughout the sales process. I test drove 3 different cars and he never made me feel rushed or pressured to purchase. He thoroughly explained all of the features and specifications about each model that I drove and he also gave me his honest opinion about each model. I truly appreciated his honesty and I feel that he had my best interest in mind. I liked that Ryan could show me both new and pre-owned models without referring me to another sales person, something that all of the other dealerships did, and that he was knowledgeable about all of BMW’s financing options and this gave me the ability to be more flexible in my purchasing decision. During the price negotiation Ryan was very fair and I was able to negotiate the best price that I had seen at any other dealer locally, or even on the internet for that matter. During the delivery Ryan took the time, even though it was getting late and the dealership was already closed to completely explain everything that I needed to know about all of the features and functions of my 2011 128i. Mr. Amico made me feel as if I was his most important customer and I will defiantly return to him when I purchase another vehicle, it is worth the drive. Take it from a true skeptic not all car salesmen are out to take advantage of you because Ryan Amico at Steve Thomas BMW is a true example of what every car salesman should be like. Thank you Ryan! I bought a BMW X-5D from Steve Thomas in Oxnard. I worked with Ryan Amico who was absolutely fantastic. It was the easiest car I have ever purchased. The dealership beat all the other dealers prices worked with Ryan Amico who was absolutely fantastic. It was the easiest car I have ever purchased. The dealership beat all the other dealers prices which was ultimately why I selected them. But Ryan closed the deal by being professional, responsive to all our questions, honest and just an overall great guy to deal with. I can't recommend Steve Thomas BMW and Ryan Amico more! More

The team at Steve Thomas BMW did an exceptional job in getting us a great deal on a car, and made the acquisition extremely easy and painless. I emailed most of the dealer in southern california to find getting us a great deal on a car, and made the acquisition extremely easy and painless. I emailed most of the dealer in southern california to find a car for my wife. Ryan at Steve Thomas BMW gave us the best price quote by far. Since we got a custom built car, Ryan kept us updated throughout, so we knew when the car would arrive. They were very easy to talk to, did not pressure us into buying more options than we needed on the car, and most importantly, informed us on where we could save money. When BMWFS dropped their APR below what we had originally agreed on, Ryan mentioned this to us and changed our APR as well, which saved us more than $2k! Our experience has been wholly positive and if we are shopping for a BMW in the future, I would start and finish my search with Steve Thomas BMW. More

I have never had a more pleasant experience buying a car..and I have bought many cars! Ryan was very knowedgable about the cars and was very comfortable showing me the entire inventory. He respected my car..and I have bought many cars! Ryan was very knowedgable about the cars and was very comfortable showing me the entire inventory. He respected my time, never pressured my decisions and was very patient in letting me think over the purchase. The price was fair, the paperwork was seamless and everyone I encountered was professional and courteous. The owner of the dealership introduced himself to me and made me feel like an old friend. This is the way a dealership should be, but rarely is anymore. They truly appreciate their customers and treat their own employees as respected professionals. I would recommend this dealer to anyone who is looking for a new or used car....in fact, I have already recommended them to several friends. More

I was not planning a purchase, it just happened & to say that coming from me means a lot my head is not easily turned. Ryan was extremely pleasant, accommodating, honest & real. Most of our communication w that coming from me means a lot my head is not easily turned. Ryan was extremely pleasant, accommodating, honest & real. Most of our communication was via email, but when I did come in to drive a vehicle, I found him easy to be around. I was not sure at that point what I wanted to do, he did not push me or try to sway me in any way. I wanted to think about it on my own terms. I was not inundated with emails, phones calls, etc. He respected my decision & I in turn called him when I was ready to "talk." We came to a decision, one I was happy with & went forward with the purchase. It was not long & dragged out, it was short, pleasant & everyone concerned was eager to please. I am an extremely happy customer. I have never been treated so well at any other dealership, my thanks to all of you. Marie M. More

My experience with Ryan Amico and the team at Steve Thomas BMW was nothing short of blissful. Ryan treated me like I was his brother and he made sure that I was 100% happy with every step of my $72,000 Thomas BMW was nothing short of blissful. Ryan treated me like I was his brother and he made sure that I was 100% happy with every step of my $72,000 Purchase. The professionalism is unprecedented and I through all my car buying experience, I highly doubt I will have as great an experience unless I come back to Steve Thomas BMW. I am a BMW lover and will be buying more of them in my lifetime, and I truly hope that Steve Thomas and my awesome client adviser, Ryan Amico will be around to cater to that. My first trip to Ryan was to go place my order for a European Delivery BMW M3. The entire order process took no longer than 40 minutes. This is absolutely unheard of! Usually when you go to a dealership, they play games with you, they pull you in multiple directions and sometimes even make you question the entire purchase because of the bad experience. But this was entirely different. The team at Steve Thomas made it feel like it was meant to be, because it WAS meant to be and they made sure that feeling never diminished for me. My floor mats were back-ordered nationally. Without my request, Ryan had them practically over-night delivered to my home. This is what we truly call customer service. I can honestly say I loved my experience. I made a new friend with my Client Advisor, Ryan Amico and I found my eternal BMW dealership, even though they are 100 miles away from me. More

My wife and I ended up purchasing two vehicles on the same day thanks to the experience we enjoyed at Steve Thomas BMW. Tony, the used car manager, and our sales agent Ryan went far above and beyond to same day thanks to the experience we enjoyed at Steve Thomas BMW. Tony, the used car manager, and our sales agent Ryan went far above and beyond to work through our deals. They were professional, courteous and approachable in every regard. I had never experienced such an easy car buying experience. To top it off, Jim in finance is bar none the best finance manager in the business--over 30 years at the same company says a lot in my book. After sales follow up was impressive. The service writers and sales staff (Tony & Ryan) kept in touch to make sure our buying experience was all we had hoped for. The cars are great but the service/sales staff is even better. Do yourself a favor, if a BMW is what you want take a drive whatever the distance to Steve Thomas in Camarillo, you will be glad you did. More
