He called me after I entered the car I was looking for on CarGurus.com. He ran my credit and told me he had a car for me . I drove to the dealership , filled out the necessary paperwork and drove away in my Subaru. It wasn’t until a couple months later that we realized everything was not as it seemed . First we were notified two months after we bought the car that the finance company had “not completed their interview with me. “ I was given a number and called to answer the questions the company had. A few more weeks later we were notified by a Mr. Sandavol that the finance company had ultimately denied our financing . He assured me that we just needed to keep in touch and that he would work something out. We waited a couple days , heard nothing and emailed him back day after day . We got no response. We tried mailing the payment into the finance company listed , because the dealership had registered the car to us and listed the original finance company. They sent our check back. We called several times and had no returned calls. So four months after buying the vehicle an Alvin Nix . The new GM messaged us stating he was going to call the vehicle in stolen if we didn’t return it. We explained to Mr. Nix that we had already paid $1000 down , had a contract and had earnestly tried sending the payment to the right place. He then acted as if he wanted to help us to again threaten the law after I made clear to him I knew my consumer rights. He was unhelpful. He was rude. He tried to make it as if we were doing something criminal when in fact we had gone above and beyond to keep in communication with him . This is known as yoyo financing and it is a scam . Be aware .
