My car has been sitting in the shop at BMW Mountain View since mid-March 2026—over 3 FULL MONTHS—for a catastrophic cooling and AC system failure. It is now mid-June, and BMW still cannot fix it. They have repeatedly replaced parts, failed, and gone silent. The only update I get when I reach out is that they are "ordering more parts" because the previous ones didn't work. How does a premium, mass-produced vehicle have flaws that its own factory-trained technicians cannot diagnose or fix after 90 days? To make matters worse, the vehicle has crossed its warranty. After making us wait two months for a review, BMW NA callously declined our repurchase/exchange request, offering zero reasonable solutions for a vehicle that has proven to be an unreliable safety hazard. Furthermore, this plug-in hybrid has consistently delivered only half of its advertised electric range. My wife and I have been completely disregarded as consumers of BMW. We are stuck paying for a car we bought brand new that we no longer trust to keep our family safe.
