At the end of October, I brought my vehicle in for warranty work on the soft-close doors. While it was in their care, the service department scratched my car. Mistakes happen, and BMW acknowledged it and agreed to cover the repair. That part was fine. What happened next was unbelievable. It took over a month of calling, leaving messages, and being told Chris “wasn’t available” before he finally returned a call. He apologized and told me he would personally handle everything. I trusted that. Two more weeks passed, and nothing happened. The shop that repaired the scratch has been trying to contact Chris for payment so I can pick up my car—but Chris won’t answer them, won’t answer me, and won’t return a single call. He’s completely dodging responsibility for a repair BMW already agreed to pay for. I’ve now been waiting far longer than necessary, without my car, simply because BMW San Diego’s service manager refuses to communicate or follow through. It is absolutely unacceptable for a luxury brand. Between the lack of professionalism, the constant runaround, and the complete absence of accountability, this has been the worst dealership service experience I’ve ever had. I will not be returning and strongly recommend others think twice before trusting their vehicle to BMW San Diego. More
