Took my wife’s BMW in due to a recall. They called when the work was done and said the transfer case was leaking oil and it would cost $6000 to replace. Or we could sell them the car. We said no thanks and took the car to a transmission specialist who put the car up on a lift, ran it for over an hour and found no leak and no problem. By the way, the car was exhibiting no signs of a transfer case leak before we brought it in. Just sayin. Previous experience. They wanted to charge my wife $350 to replace the wiper blades. More
