I dealt with Ken via text (my preferred method) for a couple days, including a Sunday. We made an appointment via text, we did all the pricing via text, and Ken even provided detailed financing options to my husband and I via text message. He was so thorough and professional, that my husband and I talked about this salesman whom we had never even met, at a dinner function on the evening before we visited the dealership. When we did make it in to the dealership, Ken made everything so absolutely painless and easy, that we were simply overwhelmed. We have young children and a busy schedule, and this car buying process could not have went any easier. Ken handled every aspect of the sale from start to finish, and we are truly grateful for his professionalism and his friendliness. If every car salesmen made it this easy, the automobile business would have a much better reputation than it has. Five weeks prior to my purchase, I was in the Baierl Honda show room looking at the new vehicles when Ken approached me to see if I had any questions. After he thoroughly answered my questions, I informed him that my current Chevy was being serviced by Honda. Ken went to my vehicle and came back with an estimate of a trade-in value, and a new Honda Accord vehicle estimate based on what I was looking for in a new Honda. Five weeks later, I contacted Ken to test drive a Honda Accord. Ken was professional, friendly, and very thorough with his explanations. Buying this vehicle was enjoyable. My worst car buying experience in 20 years. I was shopping for a Honda CRV. Made the appointment with George, over the Internet and phone for a test drive. Went to Baierl Honda, a different sale I was shopping for a Honda CRV. Made the appointment with George, over the Internet and phone for a test drive. Went to Baierl Honda, a different salesman, Ken Dash intercepted us. Instead of offering the test drive, he took us up to his office and proceeded to high pressure selling the car. When I challenged his price, he got upset and became belligerent. When I brought up what other dealer had offered, he challenged my integrity and demanded to see it in writing. He also acted unprofessionally by demanding that I call the other dealer to verify. I did. Right from his office. Ken Dash became hysterical. When he finally collected himself back up, he verbally offered a better price, I accepted his new price and asked to see the car. At that point he changed his mind and stated that he did not want the sale and asked us to sit in his office and wait. How odd. I was supposed to go to a professional car salesman to buy a car. I expected to be treated professionally and with courtesy. The experience at Baierl made it seemed like buying a car from a 5-year old spoiled brat. What a joke. It was my worst experiment in 20 years dealing with another dealing. Honda makes high quality cars, why are they accepting such low standard in their dealer sales force? I left and went to Butler North Honda the next day. Bought a car with the exactly price the Ken Dash refused to honor. More
