Deception is what they're best at and they do it as a team so beware. I purchased a 2020 Palisade Limited trim on June 16th, 2020 under deceptive and what I believe to be considered fraudulent practices. team so beware. I purchased a 2020 Palisade Limited trim on June 16th, 2020 under deceptive and what I believe to be considered fraudulent practices. After over a week of attempting to fix this issue it's clear that their words will never match their actions and I have given up dealing with them and will share my hard lesson learned to help others avoid falling in this trap. Here's my story for you to judge (there was so much deception that I probably missed some info): I will be paying $62,000+ after all payments are made for a $47,000+ MSRP Palisade Limited trim car, advertised as an almost $52,000 MSRP with a sale price of $50,239. It's on a 60 month 1.9% APR, so NO it's NOT based on the interest that I'm paying so much. I also chose not to give a down payment since I didn't see a huge difference between doing so and not. The following are the reasons are why I feel I was ripped off through deception and would not have purchased otherwise: *The "discount" given during negotiation was NOT off the sale price advertised but rather the dealers price. *Told I couldn't get that car for less there or anywhere else (In my defense I thought I researched price on MSRP, however misleading ads inaccurate ly use the terminology MSRP as opposed to dealer price, which turned out to be the case of this dealership. They advertised their dealer price as an MSRP). *Misinformed on monthly payments during sales (by about $60) *Add ons were NOT disclosed, discussed or given an option to negotiate or turn down. I was charged for them but I'm confused about these as they're NOT written on my contract under purchased accessories. (Mr. Beck offered to rewrite the contract to include all the added accessories on my contract as opposed to removing them as they're not something I would have approved of, if given that opportunity) *I was denied the First responders $500 rebate (which I initially learned about from Lizeth Perez, the salesperson) claiming my husband needed to be on the contract (I later researched this allegation and found that Spouses were eligible, therefore the need for my husband to be on the contract was a lie to deny me the rebate)(Mr. Beck, eventually offered to grant the rebate once I present the documents he requested. He didn't apologize for this error claiming he wasn't aware of the spouse's eligibility. (Just my opinion, but wouldn't the head person ALREADY know this info. I was also asked for more documentation than advertised but that's irrelevant at this moment) *Monthly payment misrepresentation continued in financing(by Maria Perez), they lie well together, which prevented me from catching the deception that started with Lizeth, the salesperson *Was told repeatedly, by Maria Perez the finance manager, that the extended warranty and Gap could only be purchased then or never after at least 3 refusals. Even after my Dad stated that was false. Maria stated it was true using both languages, English and Spanish as my Dad only speaks Spanish. (Mr. Beck's defense for her was that she probably meant to say I couldn't add the warranties to my LOAN at a later time. Not that I couldn't purchase it at a later time. I'm sorry but I asked in both languages English and Spanish for clarification so that my Dad and I could understand her claims. BOTH my Dad and I understood what she was clearly stating. She didn't like my Dad's disagreement and said it was in my best interest to purchase it because of high maintenance cost etc.) *Maria lied about the true cost of the warranty and Gap. She used false monthly payments without the warranties to mislead me. The final $23 dollar difference was in fact an over $80 difference. (Mr. Beck offered to rewrite the contract to exclude the warranties but never offered to honor the $23 difference to include warranties with $0 deductible as negotiated) His help is in avoiding a cancellation fee, which was also never discussed nor included in my contract, and lowering my monthly payments as opposed to receiving a credit and paying off my car sooner. *Maria's claim to a zero out of pocket charge was false. I was so concerned in seeing that the correct warranty plan was noted that in her physically pointing out the plan her arm covered the view to the $100 deductible. Which I discovered 2 days after my initial deception discovery. ( I called my auto insurance and found out they DO offer Gap and it didn't have to be purchased with car sale.) This sparked my further investigation. *Contacting Patrick Beck, in management, regarding the lack of scruples and deception used on me turned out to be an added nightmare. He started off polite and seemingly willing to help and apologetic about my situation claiming miscommunication and not deception as the possible reason behind my situation. His compassion ended when I wasn't okay with his $500 compensation, $500 first responders rebate (after all requested documents are provided) and his willingness to rewrite the contract to fix the add-on mistakes and remove the warranty and Gap purchased based on misleading information and incorrect price. I was told I couldn't get this car for less than my purchase price before, during and after my transactions. Yet after my purchase they listed the same trim car for what I asked he correct the price to reflect the removal of the unapproved add-ons, $47,000 + and was ridiculed for thinking I could have received it for that anywhere especially at Bakersfield Hyundai. Mr. Beck called it a mistake after I pointed out the fact that his dealership currently had two cars under $50, 000 including one for $47, 000+. He reacted in disbelief and inferred I was lying until I told him to look at his website for confirmation. He then called it an error and stated he wouldn't be able to honor that price to anyone who'd go in at that moment attempting to purchase at that price. He said he'd have to let them know it was an error and he had the audacity to THANK ME for pointing out the error. About two days later he had the prices changed to the overpriced dealer price yet it's represented as an MSRP. Yes, they're the same cars, they have the same lot number. *I have requested he and his deceptive team no longer contact me as it's clear I am NOT a concern to them but rather covering up for each other for a greater profit is their priority. *If you choose to still deal with these people who lack scruples, at least use my story to avoid their deceptive practices, misrepresentations and misleading information. * I also discovered they have a calculator on their website which could help you calculate your payments instead of trusting their misleading calculations. Learn from my lesson, I don't have the matrix as it wasn't provided to me and it wasn't something that seemed of importance at the time, after all, I only needed to remember my monthly payment. *I went in with a preapproval and I TRULY believe they used my preapproval amount to milk me for the full approval. I hadn't decided on a car during my preapproval so I wanted to make sure I asked for more than anticipated to avoid any delays. What should have worked in my favor may have backfired. Although it did get me a lower rate. However, I wouldn't have signed anything until I spoke to my bank had I gone with my bank and it wouldn't have approved the ridiculous cost. *I am looking for a good lawyer if anyone knows of one. I'm looking for confirmation of my deception and an investigation to the legality of their practices. I'm also 99% sure I was overcharged on my taxes. That will be easy to prove once I speak to the DMV. It's the verbal agreements that are harder to prove although I have several witnesses since I took my Dad and most of my family. * Believe it or not there were 3 people involved during financing but one was a brief overlook to ensure the new guy was doing his work right, upon his request, I liked his honesty in not wanting to mess up my paperwork since he'd only been on the job for 2 weeks but in the process Maria took over and finished screwing everything up. Erick had already accepted my NO on the extended warranty and was simply trying to fix the paperwork to only show the Gap insurance. His mistake was not correcting Maria's false allegations. *I have requested to no longer be contacted by Mr. Beck or any of his employees. Their online statements lie when they say they care about their customers. Mr.Beck and his team broke at least half of their customer's right with me and didn't abide by their mission. They're definitely not about integrity. Mr. Becks comment in stating we're still in time to fix this matter feels like another lie that I'm NOT willing to walk back into. I've lost all TRUST and RESPECT for this man and those that work for him as they follow by example. I'm sure his financial department won't be very pleased with their stupidity to finance a car for so much more than it's value. I'm gonna be upside down for a longer period than the norm. *I'll leave this last thought for you to ponder upon as I'm sure I've missed a lot more information in keeping this short: Why would their carfax include the added lifetime nitrogen and door edge guards (more like trims/stickers that also need to be investigated) advertised as dealerships add ons but leave out the priciest "add-on" of Xzilon paint protection (price $999) claimed to be added by the dealership? Doesn't make sense to me other than to assume it WASN'T added. Mr. Beck called the carfax useless and meaningless...his attempt to prove a point regarding its validity backfired and I simply found it pointless to continue to attempt to get that money refunded as it's his word against mine and according to him the carfax isn't valid proof and ALL his new cars receive added paint protection the minute they get to his lot. He called it standard procedure and was highly offended with my questioning this matter. He managed to bring his tone back done as I listened silently in disbelief. So you be the judge...Is this dealership living up to it's mission and customer rights? You can find that info on their website. Buyers BEWARE!!! FAMILY AND FRIENDS, DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!! More
My experience starts with a simple oil change. I made it almost to Tehachapi when I lost my oil plug. I towed the vehicle back to the dealer and David proceeded to take care of the problem letting me know t almost to Tehachapi when I lost my oil plug. I towed the vehicle back to the dealer and David proceeded to take care of the problem letting me know that they were replacing the engine with a long block. Meaning that the block was used but all its internal parts were new and of course everything that was external to the engine were original. I was good with this. When I picked up the car it was on a day that David had off. This was not a problem. When I looked at my engine it appeared as if it wasn't replaced because the cover over the engine was not even cleaned off to make this job look like it was done by a professional. On closer look I found an oily hand print on my door panel and another on the hood of my car. This again is more proof that the work accomplished at this dealership is shotty at best. When I got in my car I looked over to my my passenger side and noticed some light brown splatter Mark's on the panel and speaker. One of the biggest things that gets me is that knowing all this they didn't offer to detail the vehicle to fix these things but sent me on my way. I talked to David later and he was apologetic and offered to detail the car but, at this point I figured I was put out enough. I know that this review will be deleted but at least you will know that I will not keep this car because I have absolutely no trust in the work that was done nor will I buy another Hyundai. More

However, the sales department is a pack of thieves who wanted to charge $6k more than HMF quoted me to buy out my lease. Even after I showed them the buyout amount from Hyundai, they still persisted to try to get me to pay $6k more. Do they really think people are that stupid? More
