I recently bought a vehicle from Basic auto sales went back. The next day car was not detailed didn’t even look like it was washed dirt in the floor board etc I asked about it. Everybody looked at me crazy then I take it to get it a full diagnostic find out there’s an old oil leak in the engine. I’m told the mechanic will call me. No call to date . Then I get a letter from DMV stating Basic did not send in insurance information so when I called Basic, they told me to do it !!!once again no help no assistance no follow-through unless you absolutely have to buy a car there cause it’s cheap don’t go there crappy cars crappy service crappy follow through and the only reason I gave it one star was because it wouldn’t allow me to do zero. More

Mr. Soto was the gentleman that assisted me with finding the vehicle I was looking. I found it and was tested driving it within fifteen minutes of being there. Mr. Soto have a good knowledge of vehicles and the vehicle I was looking. I found it and was tested driving it within fifteen minutes of being there. The customer suffers from the incompetence of the staff and a convoluted system. Make sure you have at least 3-4 hours to give because they do NOT care about your time spent. They put the minimum amount of work into their cars (although the mechanic there is very competent) in an effort to not spend the money they should to make sure they have reliable vehicles for sale. You have at least a 50% chance they the vehicle you buy ends up in the shop…guaranteed. Warranty repairs take forever to get approved and done. Good luck with this one. There are better places to go buy a car, bad credit or good credit. More

I would never buy a used car anywhere else! My brother bought a car from them a couple of years ago and recently had big issues with it that the manufacturer would not fix. The wonderful folks at Basic un bought a car from them a couple of years ago and recently had big issues with it that the manufacturer would not fix. The wonderful folks at Basic understood our dilemma and worked with us to find a reasonable replacement vehicle even though he had bought the Toyota "as is". They could not have been more helpful and gave him some credit for the undrivable Toyota. They found a good lender so payments would be reasonable and made our experience there well worth returning to and referring others to anytime a used car is needed. Thumbs up! They are the BEST! I was recently in an unfortunate situation where my truck was stolen and totaled which put me back on the market. After dealing with that process Everette called to get me in another car. This was an excellent experience. I live almost hours from dealership. They sent me pictures, videos and always responded quickly to questions. My grandparents one is 72 and the other 68 years of age were manipulated into purchasing separate vehicles that they are unable to afford( they both only receive monthly income less than $1000). I went up there with my grandparents to attempt to help them first understand their payments and assist them with their obligations of payments because of course they aren’t able to return the cars. The manager told me he was unable to speak to me regarding this (my grandparents were present). I was yelled at told to be quiet by the manager. The owner stepped in and taunted me telling how long he has owned the property and what ever he says goes then he proceeded to tell me that he was calling Hanover officers to come that he sold vehicles to and they were going to take his side ( I was forced to leave the property to avoid charges). The So now my grandparents vehicles will face repossession. Or worse they will try to keep up with car payments, car insurance, and possibly face homelessness. By the way grandmother car is already falling apart and having issues. I understand that a salesman job to take anyone’s money even the vulnerable population. Basic Auto Sales of Ashland Don’t have compassion and basic human integrity. More
