The vehicle is obviously in perfect sh Went to Basil Toyota wanting to trade my 6-month old Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Hard Rock that is MSRP’d at $44,900. The vehicle is obviously in perfect shape. I went with every intention to buy, the capability to buy, and title in my pocket. So, I was looking at a 4-Runner, with a $39700 MSRP. The manager JAMES came out and informed me that he would do an even swap, when I told him that was unacceptable, as one would normally do on the first numbers offered. He then started treating us like infants. Telling us that "CARS DON’T GROW ON TREES, THIS ISN’T A CHARITY, AND WE ARE HERE TO MAKE MONEY” I told him I knew we weren't in a church and were not looking for charity. He was rude and uninterested after that, and offered no further options. Well, I'm glad to see that they aren't a charity, and are there for profit (who isn't). I am in the service, deployed well over 20 times, so I am not an idiot. I just felt insulted that I would be treated like a child, and given an "I don't care" attitude. Especially from a Manager who says, “he has been in Customer Service for 13 years” I guess he has been doing this to potential buyers for 13 years. Don't go! All Veterans or currently serving, members of our armed forces, Basil Toyota does not care about you. BASIL TOYOTA is most definitely NOT a VETERAN FRIENDLY organization! I am sure this is their MO, so no matter who you are, unless you like to be talked down to, don't go. More
