Baxter Toyota is a great place to purchase your next car. They have inventory and selection. My family was looking for a Camry with certain features that we were not finding while online shopping. An inquiry They have inventory and selection. My family was looking for a Camry with certain features that we were not finding while online shopping. An inquiry call to Baxter got me in touch with Arthur Holland in Lincoln. He did an inventory search and found the car we were looking for was in transit from the factory and arriving in about 10 days. After some discussion, we decided to place a hold on that particular vehicle so that we could be the first to see it. We drove into Lincoln on a Saturday and found the car waiting for us. Not even 1 mile on the odometer. All of the software for the systems in the car had been updated and tested. A good test drive and it was decided we were driving it home. The buying process was simple. Finance was easy. They gave a fair price for my trade. We wrote a check for down payment, filled out the paper work and it was go time. Mr Holland spent the time to make sure our phones were paired, explaining how the audio system worked. He covered the Toyota emergency notification system in case of an accident and all of electronics on the dash and steering column. The plan is to replace our second car in 3 years. Mr Holland will be getting a call. Probably looking for a Corolla or Prius. More
I was surprised how poorly we were treated by Baxter and Toyota in general. We bought a Tacoma new in 2017, and have had Baxter service it most of the time. It now has 39000 miles on it and just took it in Toyota in general. We bought a Tacoma new in 2017, and have had Baxter service it most of the time. It now has 39000 miles on it and just took it in for an oil change. Upon completion, we were given a breakdown of all the things wrong with it. Among them, they said we needed new tires. The tires on it are 7 months old and have less than 6000 miles on them. They suggested a new battery which I would argue as our current battery works fine. They also said we needed a new steering rack because the one in the truck is leaking. I would think if it was leaking, I'd have signs of it in my driveway which I do not. Further, the paint is flaking off down to the primer around the back windows. I consulted a professional body man, and he stated that it was from a contamination of the door before the paint was applied or improper application. Either way, a factory defect. I attempted to resolve these issues with Baxter Toyota of Lincoln, but they wouldn't even return my calls. I then went to corporate level with my issues where I was informed they would do nothing for me as I didn't have an extended warranty. I understand that things wear out and shouldn't be covered, but the blatant lies I was told about my tires, the battery and the defective paint job have changed my opinion about Toyota and their dealerships. I personally will never own one again or buy anything from a Baxter dealership. More
