It was covered by the extended warranty that I purchased which was supposed to only have a $100 deductible cost. The billing included $30 which was listed as a dye that was used in diagnosing the problem. I expected to have to debate whether that was covered so came with my warranty document. This had been my experience in the past with extended warranty service so I was surprised when the lady handling my service simply said, "OK, I'll have them pay it." She didn't hesitate and I was soon on my way. Beach Ford has been a pleasant experience throughout the buying and service process. Thank You! More

Just Ford'n Around I was in for service on a 2010 truck, filled out the "what's my truck valued" on website for curiosity and left with a 2017 two days later. Incentives I was in for service on a 2010 truck, filled out the "what's my truck valued" on website for curiosity and left with a 2017 two days later. Incentives helped with this new truck purchase of course, but the maintenance care of Master Mech Dave helped me keep the truck I traded in top condition. Bobby Reckling then found me and the truck I wanted just by checking email. Job well done. More
Where to begin ? I received the yellow slip in the mail about a recall on my airbags on my mustang. I called Beach Ford and scheduled an appointment. Everyone knows I received the yellow slip in the mail about a recall on my airbags on my mustang. I called Beach Ford and scheduled an appointment. Everyone knows a recall visit means its a free service to your vehicle. I dropped off my car and went to work. At work I get an email telling me my state inspection had been completed....what state inspection ? My inspection was due the following month it was NOT past its due date. I call and my "service advisor" Ms. Gallagher (Spelling may be off) that I would get a rejection stick slapped on my car if I dont get the hundreds of dollars worth of work done to my car. Completely understandable IF I ASKED FOR IT. I knew it was pretty sketchy to begin with when they told me I needed a new air filter when I have a lifetime one. That simply needed to be cleaned that has a sticker on the top that says so as well. After speaking with the service manager Vince we set up an appointment for a later day for them to correct this wrong doing. Vince explained they would do the necessary services to pass inspection for free. Great customer service to make up for this bum-rush that Gallagher tried to pull. In the midst of waiting around for that appointment I was in a fender bender. My bumper was slightly damaged so when I brought it in my signal light was slightly off track. Still worked, still visible and NOT something Id fail inspection for. I leave my vehicle there under the impression my blinker bulb and brake light would be replaced. Along with tightening the tie rods. I pick up my vehicle with the brake light STILL out but my signal light is on track. I thought this was a nice gesture that the technician screwed it back into place for me. How thoughtful and I have a new inspection sticker. In my head, I can just take it to my local shop and get the bulb replaced for $20 like I have done before, no biggie. I took into consideration that they (well supposedly) tightened the rods which was a $300 service for free. Fast forward to a couple weeks later I drop my car off at my local body shop getting my bumper taken off and a new one put on. I get a call from the shop asking if I could afford an extra day in my rental car plus additional labor costs since my signal light along with my headlight has been GLUED AND TAPED to the old bumper and they are still trying to pry it off. Thanks for doing more harm than good Beach Ford. How unprofessional and tacky. xxxx, I could've got some glue and tape myself! Had no idea that a dealership would do such a ghetto quick fix ( another thing that I did not ask for) More
Service work If I could rate them a ZERO I would but their isn't an option for that. If you own a business and use your vehicle in your business do not buy a vehi If I could rate them a ZERO I would but their isn't an option for that. If you own a business and use your vehicle in your business do not buy a vehicle from beach or use their service department. I made the mistake of buying a new truck from them, I had the truck back for service/warranty three times. Each time I made a early morning appointment, sent two employees with the truck before the appointment time and left the truck . Each time the truck sat in their yard all day and they never looked at it. The excuse each time was , they where too busy with vehicles from the pervious day. They did not tell us that when we left the truck off. So not only did I not get the warranty work I was entitled to and the truck did not get fixed but I lost a whole day without the truck plus paid two employees to make two trips to this dealership. Also try to get someone on the phone, had to call back three times, no one returns phone calls. It is easy to buy TV time and tell people how great you are, it is another to live up to expectations. Beach Ford does not! So if you plan on buying from them plan on going to Norfolk or Chesapeake for service . I have now bought two new vehicles from Checkered Flag and my experience could not have been any better. I am just amazed that Beach thinks they can treat customers like this and continue to sell cars. My next letter will be to Ford Motor Company . asking why they would let this type of nonsense continue.. More
First time customer, will never return I suppose its my fault. I assumed a dealership of this size, which had been around as long as Beach Ford, would actually have a service department th I suppose its my fault. I assumed a dealership of this size, which had been around as long as Beach Ford, would actually have a service department that added value to the overall operation. I took my minivan in to have the rear door handle replaced. (Having a minivan with a non-working rear door isn't exactly optimal.) After being told that Ford no longer manufactured the part and no replacement part was available, I asked the question, "Wait, I can't open my rear lift gate on my minivan, isn't there another option?" The Beach Ford answer, "Sorry, there's nothing we can do." So I figured I would make a phone call to Freedom Ford to ask whether they might be able to track down a replacement handle. I was told that, although the chrome door handle wasn't made anymore, a basic black handle certainly IS available. You would have thought that my question about other options would have spurred the radically outside-the-box suggestion of using a door handle of a different color. Instead, it was left to me to figure out the solution and then suggest it to them! Yikes...who is training these people?! To add a little salt to my wound, when I was told the van was ready to be picked up, I arrived an hour later only to learn that the work hadn't even begun yet. The level of disorganization in the Beach Ford service department is a sight to behold. Head for the hills! Run the other way! More
Never had a good experience Today just reminded me why I stopped going there in the first place. Made an appointment for 9:30 am, only to find out that was just for a check in t Today just reminded me why I stopped going there in the first place. Made an appointment for 9:30 am, only to find out that was just for a check in time after I got there, then tells me it will be 45 min to an hour before it will go in shop for diagnostic, what my time isn't valuable, I work third shift, that's why I made an appointment. Took my vehicle and left..... On other occasions, took in for roof leak while still under warranty, was told I had left sun roof open that I never use, ( roof still leaks ) ive later discovered its the roof rack rail which still leaks time to time. Took into Beach Ford on three separate occasions for at the time what I thought was a transmission problem, the first time was told it had a miss and spark plugs had to be replaced $$$, the next time they reprogramed the transmission $$$$, Still no Joy, Did not go back, took to Kramer tire, found out I bad hub bearings, Diagnostic free (no charge) That's when I started going to Southern Auto Mercury, Lincoln service, which now is a GMC dealer, bummer!!!!!! confirmed and they did the work, for years never had a problem with these people or service, they were right the first time and at a lower price than beach ford. And an appointment was an appointment, not just a time to show up!!!!!!!!!!!! my rating is on my combined experiences since Jan. 2009 More
Worst Service Center in existence They will charge you overpriced diagnostic fees. Their labor rates are horrible and if you actually let them fix your car it won't be right.
