I am always apprehensive when I have to go to a dealer for service that I am not qualified for ever since I was defrauded by a local dealer that cost me a fair amount of money in repairs. My contact was for service that I am not qualified for ever since I was defrauded by a local dealer that cost me a fair amount of money in repairs. My contact was Lori, with whom I made an appointment regarding the transmission on our 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. I had to wait a few weeks to get in. It only has 24,000 miles but has refused to shift out of first gear about 6-8 times which puts one in a temporary panic position trying to accelerate entering a highway. Everything checked out positive by their transmission person. There also are no recalls for this problem for our vehicle. I checked that myself. It seems that the most likely cause could be an accidental bump of the steering wheel shifting paddles. I know that I occasionally bump the telephone so it seems quite possible. I would like to say that the help and concern I received from Lori was the best dealership experience that I have ever had and I am now 87 years old and have traveled the country extensively using dealers in many states. This dealer gives me a lot of confidence and makes me comfortable and feel good that I can receive good service in the future and that their people are of good character. More
