I did my homework long before traveling an hour and a half on two consecutive days to this dealership. Reputation was critical in my selection. The first day I arrived rather late but quickly found what I wanted. I slept on it and returned the next day for a test drive and ultimately purchased a new Tacoma SR5 and drove it home that night. My first trip was to see what the dealer actually had available, what the overall atmosphere was like, and how they interacted with individual customers. I was slightly disappointed with their physical inventory - their website showed 50+ Tacomas but, only 1 new one and 2 late-model used ones were on the lot that I could see while the rest were either hidden "in the back" or "in transit". However, this is an industry wide fallacy rather than a problem limited to Bennett Toyota. Christian Rivera helped put my experience on a positive path and directed me to Jose Rivera Sr. Jose is a 9-year US Army veteran and is both very personable and knowledgeable of the vehicles I was interested in purchasing. It helped that I already knew what I did and did not want, had a pre-approved loan (from USAA) to compare with Toyota Motor Credit Corporation offerings, and had immediate access to my financial and credit information. Additionally, I did my homework with my insurance company (also USAA) to get a positive feel for what financing add-ons I would consider purchasing. Andrew Perez (hopefully, I have the correct person!) cheerfully and graciously accepted my declination of all but one add-on (and it wasn't gap insurance). The financing segment of my transaction with Bennett was smooth, clearly explained, and quick. There were at least two other team members (one woman and one man) who assisted with technical issues but I didn't catch their names. They too were pleasant and helpful. So far, I would highly recommend working with Jose Rivera Sr and Andrew Perez. They are both friendly, personable, and knowledgeable of the products they're selling. Be prepared by doing your own research long before you need to purchase a vehicle. (HINT: Bring your own coffee & skip the in-house machine!) More
