I initially offered $90,000 over MSRP, which was apparently close to being approved. On Saturday, I was told one of the managers believed the car could bring $100,000 over upon arrival. I called the salesperson, Jose Leyva, and asked a very simple question: If I agreed to the full $100,000 over MSRP, could I lock the car in with no games? I was told yes. I was then told management had agreed to the $100,000 over MSRP, provided that half of the money was wired to demonstrate that I was serious. I immediately agreed and asked them to send the purchase agreement and wire instructions. They sent me the purchase agreement reflecting the $100,000 markup, but no wire instructions. I spent the rest of Saturday trying to get the wire information. I eventually asked to speak with the sales manager, Fred, who called me and personally assured me that the deal was good to go, the car was locked in, and the wire instructions would be coming shortly. Saturday passed. Sunday passed. I was repeatedly told not to worry because the car was mine and they were simply waiting for the business office/accounting to open Monday. Then Monday morning came, and suddenly nobody was responding. Eventually, the salesperson Jose text me a lengthy apology wording it as though my $100k was only an offer. That another offer had supposedly come in for $130,000 over MSRP, which they said they turned down. Jose and Fred then explained that they had done everything they could and that the final decision belonged to General Manager Jakob Waldbusser. I was then told they would be selling the car for $150,000 over MSRP. The issue here isn’t the price. Dealers are free to price their vehicles however they choose. The issue is keeping your word. I was given a purchase agreement. I was told management approved the deal. I was asked to wire money to demonstrate that I was serious. I was personally assured by the sales manager that the deal was locked in. If your word means nothing once more money comes along, what exactly is the value of doing business with you? There was an opportunity to handle this professionally, even if management ultimately wanted more money. Instead, I was given repeated assurances that the car was mine and then left waiting while the deal apparently changed behind the scenes. In my opinion, this is a serious lack of business ethics and integrity. People remember how you conduct yourself when money is involved. Unfortunately, my experience with this team was that their word was worth less than the next dollar offered. Buyers should do their own due diligence and be extremely careful when dealing with this dealership and its management team. Zero confidence. Zero business ethics. A word should still mean something in business. More
Bert Ogden Chevrolet have insane mark ups. The outrageous markups are bad enough, but what makes this even worse is the apparent lack of integrity when it comes to honoring what was discussed. The outrageous markups are bad enough, but what makes this even worse is the apparent lack of integrity when it comes to honoring what was discussed. Charging $100,000+ over MSRP on a Corvette ZR1X is already excessive, but then changing course because management believes they can squeeze another $50,000 out of someone is incredibly short-sighted. At some point, chasing every last dollar becomes PURE GREED! A dealership can ask whatever price it wants, but if its representatives give someone their word on a number and management later moves the goalposts because they think they can make more, how are customers supposed to trust anything they say? You can make money back. Trust and reputation are much harder to recover. Outrageous markups combined with failing to stand behind your word is not the way to earn loyal customers. More
I purchase a silverado 2021 and started having problems with the OnStar about 4 months after the purchase. I took it back to get it fixed and the staff at the repair center told me they needed to order the with the OnStar about 4 months after the purchase. I took it back to get it fixed and the staff at the repair center told me they needed to order the antenna for OnStar and that they will call me as soon as they get it. A few weeks went by and no call from them. I had to call to get an update and they told me the part had been there for a while and to take my truck in. I did and they kept the truck for 3 days. When I went back to see if it was ready no one knew what was done to the truck, it had just been there sitting without getting checked or repaired. Long story short; I’ve taken my truck to this dealership 3 times for the same thing and nothing has been done to it. Same thing every time. Some of the people in this place do not take their job seriously and give a very bad experience after the purchase. More
I have talked to and emailed Elizabeth Torres multiple times about buying a pearl white 70th anniversary C8 coupe. She said there there is one available that is in transit available for $83,840. I agreed times about buying a pearl white 70th anniversary C8 coupe. She said there there is one available that is in transit available for $83,840. I agreed to purchase it. She set up an appointment for an appraisal of the trade in. She also said that the finance department will contact me to place the deposit. I drove my car over 14 hours from Fort Bliss for the appointment and also had to pay for a return flight. I have left multiple messages with the finance department. They have never called me back. It turns out she lied about the car being available. I was also contacted by Rene Lopez. When I called him back, someone answered and said: no say hablo english, and then hung up. How are y'all in business with employees this worthless? The owner should be ashamed of being so incapable of running a business. More

My oil was down to 18 % and at this moment GMC in Brownsville is seeing what the problem is. Can not reach service department here at Bert Ogden.. The Service manager is always out, GM always out, Sales manager always out, finance never answers.. More

We asked for additional pictures which they send and minutes later we submitted an application with pre-approval. They said they would contact us shortly and all day yesterday no call or communication. They pulled credit report and kept us waiting. They Re-listed the vehicle this morning with a higher price and called to tell us the vehicle was sold. Very disappointing experience, I have deal with small dealerships and up to Lamborghini dealerships in the past and this one is by far the worst ever. BE AWARE! More
I was at Bert Ogden Chevrolet this weekend looking for a preowned car. I was immediately acknowledged by a young lady named Valeria Sotelo. I was pretty clear what I was looking for as far as payment and bodystyle of car I needed. She was very friendly, easy to talk to and had a great personality. She started looking for something to fit my needs. I honestly wasn't thinking of finding anything in the store. With the help of her manager and Raymundo Villarreal. I was able to walk out with a sport utility vehicle, with the payment I wanted the same afternoon. Thank you all for making it a great experience. Their customer service was the best! More
