Ron Carter practice bait & switch techniques, they add on fees to a vehicle that do not exist, the finance is a joke(tried to charge too much interest by law for a vehicle that she wanted), & they are very unprofessional in their business practices. Basically a $14,500 vehicle some how got up to $23,700. I was really embarrassed bringing her to this dealership, but the good thing we caught everything deceptive, and we are reporting them to the BBB & the Attorney Generals Office. Really sad when you have people that try to cheat honest hard working people, but I definitely believe in exposing such corruption to help aide others. In conclusion it is important for people to report the truth. After looking through some of the other negative reviews I see similar problems that my girlfriend encountered. More
I went in with my daughter to test drive a Ioniq Hybrid. Paul Jones was great. We did the test drive and I was off to another dealership to test drive another make and model. My daughter wanted the Ioniq b Paul Jones was great. We did the test drive and I was off to another dealership to test drive another make and model. My daughter wanted the Ioniq but I had her test another vehicle I wanted her to get. Paul was going to try and work the best deal for us since it was the last Limited they had on the lot. While I was trying to buy the Honda he sent us the final drive out price. It was a little high but it’s my daughters first car so I had to let her pick what she wanted so we decided to go and purchase from Ron Carter. Wow big mistake. Paul was busy with two other customers so I agreed to wait 2.5 hours so he could get the paperwork ready and my wife and I could just go in and sign the paperwork. We wanted to avoid exposure with other people with this Covid-19 virus. So after two hours we went in and I could tell something was wrong. Paul comes out and tells me that his boss is raising the price 900 dollars. Remember what I said earlier. It was already a little high but it was the last one on the lot. I informed Paul that I left another dealership where I did get a great price on a Honda. Same class of car for 4500 cheaper than what I would be paying for the Hyundai. I sent him the screen shot of the offer. He went back to his manager and no luck. I had to call my daughter and tell her I just left the dealership and we would have to keep searching for that same vehicle. After speaking to my daughter I got a call from his manager. He wanted to know why I left and if I came back he would give me a 50 dollar gift card and we would make the deal. He said that should be enough to make the deal.I said no and he also offered 100 dollars off the price. I had already had to break it to my daughter that she wasn’t getting the car. He was rude during this time. He then asked what he had to do for me to turn around and make the deal. Remember he had raised the price 900 dollars so I asked him to drop the price 600 dollars. So like a child when they don’t get what they want he just hung up on me. He was on speaker and my wife was in the car. She was like did he just hang up on you. I said yep. She said he is acting like my kindergarten kids. Wow. i am sure when he gets asked about this he will say he lost the call. We if that were the case he would just call back. He didn’t. I texted Paul and informed him what his boss just did and that I would be leaving a review. Paul was great. His boss needs to be sent back to training. I contacted another dealership in Dallas on Saturday night. They were already closed and also closed on Sunday. Monday morning they called me and made the deal within a few hours. They delivered the vehicle to me that same day. Thats customer service. The beautiful thing about is that I paid 2512.00 dollars cheaper for the exact same vehicle down to the exterior and interior colors. Wait. Ron Carter Hyundai’s car had tint and a pin strip. I guess Ron Carter believes that is worth 2512.00 dollars. Wow. Be careful with Ron Carter. To quote me a price and then raise it as soon as I arrive. It’s about integrity and they need to work on it. Well I would say the manager that called me is the problem. If the price changed they could have contacted me since I did wait 2.5 hours for them to get the paperwork ready for finance. I guess they figured they would get me in there and pressure me to get the car. I hope his boss can review the calls. I’m sure they are recorded and this will tell you what type of person this manger is. He had to say twice about its for your daughter both times I didn’t agree to the 50 and 100 dollar offers. I guess involving my daughter would make me feel bad and just make the deal. I am a manager and I have been hiring employees for 12 years now. These types of employees have to be weeded our during the hiring process. Not hard to identify. Customers will lose faith in your dealership and most of the time this type of behavior continues with it never getting to higher management. By the time it is elevated it’s too late. If I could give this place a negative star review, I would. I Was a first time buyer, I’ve been looking into a preowned Lexus and been in contact with one of the sales consultant, Tomas Payne, I believe would. I Was a first time buyer, I’ve been looking into a preowned Lexus and been in contact with one of the sales consultant, Tomas Payne, I believe his name was. When I went to purchase the car, it wasn’t even ready; instead, I had to wait for the car to get detailed. When I finally had the chance to test drive I noticed the rotors were warped and I let them know about it. I was told it will be resolved before I get the vehicle and I waited for it to be done. When I got the car back I thought everything was in good condition but in fact it wasn’t. I took the car to a Lexus dealership and they notified me of more safety problems about the car such as missing horn in the steering wheel, rotors so bad that I have to now replace with my own money, and I can’t even charge my own mobile devices in my car because the ports don’t work. I tried bringing it to their attention but between COVID-19 and the GM dodging my calls, nothing was done to the car. I asked about it being covered under warranty multiple times and they said it will but when it came down to getting the repairs fixed the warranty said it wasn’t covered, so now I’m stuck with a car with all these problems. Thank you Ron Carter for ruining my first vehicle purchase and putting me further into debt than I anticipated and try to avoid. More

This dealer insis Although our salesperson was charismatic and friendly, everything went south when trying to negotiate a fair deal on a new Tucson. This dealer insisted on adding $2995 to the price of the deal with a Platinum Protection Package, and then relentlessly applied all of the classic (aggravating) sales tactics when I objected to the unwanted add-ons. We just wanted a fair and simple deal. We ended up going back-and-forth for an hour before disappointment and exhaustion set in. I would be embarrassed to recommend this dealer, and risk having a friend, co-worker, or family member endure the same circus act. Down the road a few exits, at Demontrond Mazda Clear Lake, we received prompt and clear pricing. With Mazda, there was no need for haggling over up-charges or questionable add-ons. Mazda got our business, again. More

The sales manager Tony Gomez leads the charge in deception here and encourages his reps to do the same. I cannot believe in this day that a previously reputable place like Ron Carter hires people and allows them to essentially lie to customers/potential customers. I wish I could give a negative 10 rating! There are plenty of upfront and honest dealers in the greater Houston area. More

My niece bought a car as is but was told Matt from the used car service of Ron Carter Cadillac, is a liar and a scam artist. Caesar isn't much better. My niece bought a car as is but was told it was in great condition, He said the check engine light was normal. When she got it on the road she almost had an accident on I-10 because the transmission started to fail. She called Matt and he said she could bring it back after a week and a half of having the car, my niece had to call to get it back. She was told it was fine and passed inspection. YET they wouldn't give her a inspection report and wouldn't answer question as to why the radiator belt was shredded and transmission was dying. My Car Repairman said it is an unsafe car to drive. Ron Carter Used Car Sales man MATT is a Scammer. As is Caesar the Used Car sales manager. I called to ask him about the situation he said he would call back it has been 3 weeks have not heard a thing. My niece went up there yesterday after having waited 5 weeks for the inspection report. They said they would MAIL it to her. Um really it doesn't take 5-6 weeks to get an inspection report. I will tell everyone I know they are scammers and liars. After the way they have handled themselves with my Nieces car is appalling!!!!!!!!!!! More

Rip Off David Waters is a con man and since his bosses approve of the way he sells, would also indicate they are just as bad. David boldly lied to my wife and David Waters is a con man and since his bosses approve of the way he sells, would also indicate they are just as bad. David boldly lied to my wife and I about things that were on our new purchase that weren't on this vehicle. I have tried and tried to get David to respond to me and I have written to the General Manager and haven't received a phone call, email, or even a text from anyone. I was scheduled to take my new purchase into the dealer the following week and have it serviced free of charge but they will not give me a date or a call back. I would never recommend them to anyone.
