I had been shopping around for at least a month for a new 2013 Veloster Turbo with the 'ultimate package' (sunroof/rear view camera) and it was impossible to find. I was picky and wanted silver. I am a huge fan of Hyundai, I currently own a 2004 Tiburon (GT Tuscani, awesome & rare car) with 195k on it so I want to stick with Hyundai. So after talking with many dealers, even across the country Kilan located one for me and was willing to work a deal. Unfortunately they only had the basic package (not a turbo) for me to test drive. Kilan did a great job showing me a true test drive of what the car was capable of. However, the basic did not have enough acceleration for my liking, and it worried me to make a purchase before I could test drive the turbo (I wanted to know myself the turbo had much more power). So even though I did not purchase a car I will look forward to possibly working with Kilan when they do get more turbos on the lot, or when the 14's come out with what is supposed to possibly have more horsepower or even an R-Spec version. We came to Ron Carter Hyundai to purchase a car whether new or used. I already own two Hyundai vehicles and I was help a younger lady from out church to purchase a vehicle that wasn't on its last leg, but new or used. I already own two Hyundai vehicles and I was help a younger lady from out church to purchase a vehicle that wasn't on its last leg, but it was starting to get to point where the repairs every two months were starting to match her car payments. Mr. Anthony Merchant met us at the door of the dealer ship and we started looking at Elantras. We thought with the specials Ron Carter was running, she would be able to afford the GLS package, but she just didn't have good enough credit or the required down payment requirement to make it work. Anthony didn't give up and he continued to help by looking used cars, and he found a 2010 Hyundai Sonata GLS that I would classify as a very clean vehicle. Anthony and the financial staff worked out the payment plan to where she could afford to actually make payments and with a small down payment of cash. I am a member of the Hyundai Think Tank, and I really want to thank Anthony and the staff at Ron Carter Hyundai who made this car purchasing experience possible for a young single mother a very happy outcome. Anthony is the sales person who I would turn to because he stayed with us for close to four hours to work her into an affordable and very good and very well kept used Sonata. There were plenty of customers at the dealership, and Anthony could have said sorry and stopped with us at 3rd hour, and served another customer to make an a larger sale, but no doubt I could tell he was dedicated to getting her into a reliable used vehicle. More

We went to Ron Carter to see the cars and the quality of the vehicles, the friendliness of our sales person and the speed that he handled all paperwork was impressive. Stephen quickly identified our need based on what we told him and he brought an Elantra 2013 that we liked when we saw it. The silver color was just icing on the cake. Something that we noticed is that they really make an effort to earn your business. Trade in appraisal was conducted quickly and we got a good trade in value. If you are looking for a new Hyundai, this is the place to go and don't forget to ask for Stephen. More

He was very patient with me as I made my decision. He is very good at his job and in the end I was satisfied. The only negative I can say is that I felt I was not getting a fair trade in value but in the end, it all worked out and I drove away in a gently used Hyundai and I LOVE it! So, I saw a car on the internet via Autotrader.com. Called the dealership and confirmed the price. It was good. Then I test-drove the car at a local deal (Ron Carter is about 7 hours from my home). He was worried about the pricing. He said it didn't seem right and to ask what discounts had already been applied. I called Ron Carter and was told that it included a financing discount and that was it. If I wanted that price I had to finance the car. Not a big deal. I applied for financing. That was good. The worst part so far is how much work *I* had to put into it. They didn't return phone calls (at least not within 24 hours) and were very slow about the whole process. It took 3 days just to get through the things I mentioned above. Should have taken just a couple of hours. But, here's the worst part. I kept looking on the internet and found a lot of bad reviews about Ron Carter and bait/switch/lying. I began to get more nervous. They had already told me they couldn't give me a 100% firm price over the internet/phone, but had consistently said the price included no other discounts except the financing discount. This is something the negative reviews mentioned. They stated that when the customer arrived, they found more discounts included that they weren't eligible for, and the price went up. I didn't want to drive 7 hours to have that happen, so I requested a printed copy of the price, noting the starting price and all applied discounts. Silence. I requested this information via several sources. Silence. It seems that Ron Carter is not willing to be transparent and I can only assume that's because they have something to hide. I won't be making the trip to spend my money with them. More
