Our records indicate that you were here for your state inspection sticker yesterday. We do quote about 1 hour for that service which includes a car wash. Safety is a top priority for us so it's important for the technicians to take enough time to check all components of our customer's vehicles properly. Your time quotes vary wildly. When I made the appointment, I was told it would be 45 minutes, and that was confirmed by the man who checked me in yesterday as the first appointment of the day. He came out after an hour to report that my car passed inspection and go over the results. When I said I needed to get going, he said it would be another 15 minutes. After 20, I checked, and my car was no longer in the bay. I was looking out the window near the service desk, and was told that my car was at the car wash-an interesting practice, since it was raining out at the time. The service desk person then told me that the inspection usually takes an hour and 15 minutes, and told me firmly that I should go back and sit in the waiting area. I think you should train your service reps to be responsive to customers who count on those time quotes. Since they knew they were well over time, they should have asked if I wanted my car washed in the rain. I would rather be on time for work. If you decide to provide a free service (inspections), you should do so graciously and be sensitive to customers' time commitments. I will not be back. A "free" inspection isn't worth the aggravation.
