I was more than ready to switch vehicles after dealing with numerous service issues and inefficient customer service on my Dodge Journey. Even though I was only 2.5 years into a purchase and still upside with numerous service issues and inefficient customer service on my Dodge Journey. Even though I was only 2.5 years into a purchase and still upside down on the Dodge, Andy Skinner worked whole-heartedly to place me into a vehicle that I enjoy, find reliable and fits my needs. We worked the numbers and I drove away in a brand new loaded Camry SE with a 3 year service plan and I'm paying $6.00 less per month. A huge thank you to Andy and Butler Toyota! I highly recommend these folks for your next auto shopping experience. John Scott More
My personal experience at Butler Toyota located on 96th/Keystone Ave has been sub-par at best. Several occasions, I have interacted with the staff, there has been a curt attitude towards assisting me. 96th/Keystone Ave has been sub-par at best. Several occasions, I have interacted with the staff, there has been a curt attitude towards assisting me. In summer of 2011, I had to bring my car into service, and there were at least 6 service advisors standing at their 'desks'. I saw two (2) employees just chatting, and I stood there with my car for at least 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged me. Most recently, I went to pick up a part at the parts department. After looking for nearly 15 minutes, I was told I needed to purchase an entire headlight unit, instead of just a headlight lens which I needed. This is not correct as I have seen on the internet that it was sold individually, and subsequently went to another Toyota dealer and was able to get the part ordered. I don't know if there is individual problem employees or a misunderstanding on proper customer service. These are both issues I struggle with when I go to a dealership and both issues are present. At the moment, Butler Toyota is the closest place for me, however; I can accept going to another location if it means better customer service and quality automotive advice. More

I was looking for a Scion XB model - I hadn't drove or checked one out before visiting the Butler dealer - after looking around the dealership I spoke with salesman Jim Kincaid - lucky for me he also o or checked one out before visiting the Butler dealer - after looking around the dealership I spoke with salesman Jim Kincaid - lucky for me he also owned a late model XB and knew quite a lot about the car - after some Q and A we took one for a test drive - I was impressed by the quality and overall configuration of the XB - we drove for about 30 miles on surface streets and the freeway and I was impressed by the cars overall performance and handling - once back from the test drive I looked over the car very carefully and considered 'accessories' (options that will add to the base price) - Because of the 'pure-pricing' and 'mono-spec' policy of Scion you have no room for any sort of sticker dealing or negotiation - for new or inexperienced (generation Y) buyers this may be a good thing but for me (I'm 62) I would have liked to at least done some price dickering - but I have no complaints - the base 2012 XB with auto was $18,005 - a very good price for this much vehicle - anything else (accessory) will have to be ordered and bought - I leased the base with auto and no accessories - I am very happy with the overall deal - As for salesman Jim Kincaid he went over the top to provide the best customer support and experience - I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for an informed and fair deal in a new Scion or Toyota - More
I purchased my 2012 Scion TC from Butler Toyota/Scion, February 20th 2013. I was lied to twice by my sales guy about my car. I got in to test drive the car and I was overwhelmed by the smell of smoke. I a February 20th 2013. I was lied to twice by my sales guy about my car. I got in to test drive the car and I was overwhelmed by the smell of smoke. I asked if the previous owner was a smoker and he said no. I asked if he was sure and he said yes, one of the people cleaning it out probable was just smoking while doing so. He just assured me that the smell would leave, that I just needed to air the vehicle out. After I fell in love with the car and decided I was going to get it I just knew I was happy. Little did I know everything would change. While in the office with the financial guy doing the paper work my Sales guy comes in to tell me that after washing the car there is scratches all over the hood. I went out to check and sure enough the hood was all scratched up. They didn't offer to take the price down or anything. But I stuck with it because I really loved the car. The finance guy told me that he knew a guy that could fix the scratches for me with no problem, so that helped. After I am done with all the paper work I go to move all of my belonging out of my trade in to my new car. While putting things in I notice huge burn marks in the backseat. I went to my sales guy and I said you're a liar there are burn marks in the back seat. Why would you lie to me I said. He just brushed it off and said that I could get it patched. I was no longer his problem I had already finished all of the paperwork. At this point i'm scared and have a really bad feeling. You know how you catch someone in a lie and you wonder what else could they have possible lied about seeing how they lied about something so simple? It gets better or worse actually. A few days after driving the car i notice its jumping as if something is pushing the car forward. When I would try and accelerate just a little like after a red light my car would jerk. When I would slow down to stop at a stop light or a stop sign or even slow down for a roundabout the car would jump forward. It felt like I had no control and it was going to just keep going. A very scary feeling. After this I was looking for a sign on the dash board like a check engine light or something. No light on. But I did notice that my RPM was going crazy. It was jumping up to the 3rd gear while I was idle. It would do that randomly while driving too even if I was just going a steady 20 miles per hour. I knew something had to be wrong. I called the service department and told them about the problems that I was having. They had no idea what I was saying over the phone and I can't blame them I had no idea what was going on so I really couldn't explain myself fully. I set up an appointment to get it checked out that following Thursday. I take it in and try and explain again and once again they said they had no clue.Over the phone they said they would take it on a test drive with me so I could show them exactly what was happening. That never happened. About two hours later they came to get me and said the computer said my car was fine, so there was nothing wrong. I asked if they were sure that a computer could be 100% correct, they said yes. So to my knowledge the car was never test driven. So I was sent on my way with no solution or any information on what it could have been. But that I was noticing things that were not happening. This was after waiting there for over two hours. A go home and I notice the same problems. I then try and do my own research. I go online and google why my RPM would be going crazy and why my car would be jerking and pushing forward while trying to break. It gave me a lot of reason. Spark plugs, spark plug wires coil pack and transmission. So with this information I call Butler back and I let them know my car is doing the same thing and its getting a little worse. I also had a video of what happens, I know taking the video wasn't safe but I also know what my car is doing is not normal and cant be safe. So I go to my new appointment with my phone in my hand ready to show the video. This time the guy is actually taking notes and when I show him the video he says wow, that is defiantly no normal and should not be happening. I said I know thats what I've been trying to tell you guys. This time I am there for over three hours until someone comes to talk to me. When he came it was with horrible news. He said its my transmission. I would need it replaced but luckily I have the warranty and they will take car of everything. The only thing was they had to get it approved by the toyota warranty. He had only talked to two people and he said he needed to talk to one more. So at least now we know whats wrong and its just a matter of time until its fixed. Not that i'm okay with having to get a transmission replaced on a car that i've had for only two weeks and it only has 16,000 miles but hey what can I do. He gives me a rental and tells me he will call me the following day with more information on when my transmission will be replaced. Which i'm hoping they don't put a rebuild in my car seeing how that could have preexisting problems. I get a call the next day this is friday at like 3pm but only after calling up there and leaving a message. I was told that they were instructed to just flush the transmission and see if that helps. So plans were changed again, i'm thinking because its cheaper for them, but I don't know so I won't assume but I will go with it. I asked what was after that and how long it would take. He said we will do this and test drive it them give you a call in the morning. I said okay. I don't get a call saturday morning so I have to call up there once again left a message. I receive a voice mail so I call back. I was told one person test drove it but they wanted to drive it further to make sure the same problems were not occurring. So by now three different people have driven my car. I no longer believe they even know what the are looking for. But I trust until I'm give a reason not to. So he tells me he will have me car Saturday night until Monday morning. He would then call me that morning. I never receive a call one again. I called up there about five times and left messages before I received a call back or got ahold of the person helping me. He said that he didn't notice anything so to come get my car and drive it around for a few and see what I think. I would know the first time driving it so I don't know why he said a fews but he did. Anyway my car is doing the exact same thing it was doing before. So my car was in the shop from Thursday to Monday and it was returned to me in the same condition. I went from being told that my car was fine and had to problems to being told I needed my transmission replaced to only needing it flushed... I am not sure what will be next I just want my car fixed seeing how I just got it. If they can't do that then they need to help me figure something else out. This is ridiculous, I am proper upset and just hoping for the best. I was told they would take care of me by the person that recommended me. Wish me luck! More
I was pretty confident that I was going to buy a Honda Odyssey until I walked into the Toyota dealership and met with Jim. He took a lot of time with me explaining and illustrating the merits of the Sienn Odyssey until I walked into the Toyota dealership and met with Jim. He took a lot of time with me explaining and illustrating the merits of the Sienna. I knew the Sienna was a good car from the previous research I had done but I was still convinced I was going to get the Odyssey and simply went in to look at the Sienna to make me feel as though I had done some research! Jim spent an hour and a half with me the first time. I was very impressed with the Sienna and with him as a sales man. The Honda rep who had helped me was nowhere as knowledgeable and helpful as Jim was. Plus Jim had that nice balance of not being pushy but knowing when to push. Even after I left I was still thinking I should go with the Odyssey. A couple of days later Jim called and asked me where I was in my plans to purchase. I told him I was still thinking about the Odyssey, so he sent me a comparison sheet that proved to be very effective. After reading it over, and after considering the promotional APR offer and 2-year service plan, it was clear I should get a Sienna. Jim was exceptional to work with and was flexible with my husband being out of time and trying to accommodate his needs. I am very happy with my experience at Butler Toyota and with salesman Jim Kincaid. More
