Apparently they did not recognize that I was a cash buyer. A friend recommended Greg Cantu at Bill Kay. He, and associate John Forkal, not only arranged several test drives, but also provided the opportunity to try various Corvettes with differing options, from coupes to convertibles, manuals to automatics. These gentlemen were exemplary professionals, dedicated to customer service. I was highly impressed with the Bill Kay facility as well. I have owned many automobiles in my life, this is my 20th Corvette, and I can honestly say this was the most impressive car-buying experience I've had. Our 2002 couldn't last forever, and when Chevy addresses the weight issues that were bogging down the speed of the 5th Gen, and brought out a completely new Camaro SS for 2016, we knew we had to have one. Yes, there is a closer dealership to our home, but they made it quite clear early on, that we would not have a great experience, if we ordered our car through them. Can you imagine sending a customer away who is begging to order a new car? So we came down I-355 to Bill Kay Chevrolet, still only 15 minutes away from home. After all, we had purchased three Camaro Z28s from them previously, and they had always taken good care of us. As soon as we had an idea of asking MSRP in August, we began our journey of waiting until we could place an order for the car that we wanted. Our chance finally came in September, and Bill Baresch walked us through the new car build ordering process. We got the car that we wanted, without spending money on options that we didn't. This car had so many luxury features built into the price, we didn't need to add anything besides the dual exhaust and the split spoke wheels. It was nice getting updates via email from Bill, about our order. It only took about 10 weeks for our special order to arrive, and we know we made the right choice of both the car, and the dealer. We drove away, commenting that this was by far the most pleasant car buying experience, that we ever had, from start to finish. We were treated like family from the moment we walked into the dealership, to the moment we drove away in our new car. Thanks to the whole Bill Kay Team for making our new car wish come true. More
