"Professional, courteous, helpful, no pressure. "

Based on research I selected Subaru Impreza 2018 equipped with "Subaru Eyesight"for my 17 years old new driver. I had bad past experience in another Subaru dealership closer to home, so I drove to Bill Kolb's @ Orangeburg NY. The great experience started when I walked in. Rich was in the middle of doing something else, but his priority is customer service so he just interrupted his other task immediately. Rich listened carefully to my needs and priorities. I had expected that in order to get the 2018 Impreza with Eyesight, back camera, blue tooth, GPS I will have to lease the top level ("Limited") whose MRSP is 27k. Rich explained to me that I could lease the "premium" version (MRSP 24k) and still meet all my goal. I told rich initially that color did not matter to me, so I test drive a gray car. In the end, however, I remembered that my daughter specifically asked not to get a white or a gray car, but rather one of the primary colors. Rich made calls, and let me know if if was willing to wait 24h he could get me a blue car from another dealership. The whole experience was what you hope it would be. I will be back to Bill Kolb's.

Picked up a 2018 Impreza Sedan last week. This was our 4th Subaru leased from BK Subaru in the last 6 years. Subaru makes a great product and Gary Mendelsohn makes the process a pleasure and continues to provide excellent service. Overall a great experience.

I recently leased a 2018 Impreza 5 door. My sales person Gary Mendelsohn could not have been more helpful but most important he and every other person in the dealership were so mellow and nice. No hard sale, no haggle and the price was great. Very unusual. A great experience.

The is our second Subaru Impreza we have purchased from Bill Kolb Subaru and once again my wife and I were very satisfied customers. sOur sales consultant Gary Mendelsohn was excellent!. No pressure sales approach and took a lot of time to discuss Impreza options. He was able to get the color and options we wanted at a very good price. "Wonderful car buying experience "

"DO NOT BELIEVE ALL THE SWEET PROMISES"

AFTER DRIVING MY SUBARU FOR 2 WEEKS I NOTICED SEVERAL PROBLEMS WITH THE CAR ( A FORESTER 2015). SO I CALLED AND MADE AN APPOINTMENT AND TOOK THE CAR FOR REPAIR!!? 2 HOURS LATER I WAS ASKED TO GO AND PICK UP MY NEWLY BOUGHT CAR (5-5-2018). AND THESE ARE THE THINGS THAT I FACED: 1- THE CAR LACKS HEAD LIGHT "ON" INDICATOR !! SUBARU HAS DONE AWAY WITH IT !!! 2- THE SPONGE PROTRUDING FROM THE DASH TO THE WINDSHIELD IS THERE ( WAS SUPPOSED TO BE FIXED) AND THE AGENT SAYS " I DON'T KNOW WHAT THAT IS" YOU CAN LEAVE THE CAR HERE AGAIN, AND WE WILL FIND OUT WHAT THAT IS "!! 3- THE WINDSHIEL WIPERS WERE OLD WHEN CAR WAS SOLD TO ME AND WERE LEAVING STREAKS ON THE GLASS( PROBABLY WERE NEVER CHANGED ) AND YET IT HAD PASSED THE ( 150 POINTS CHECK) BY THE DEALERSHIP!! THE CAR WAS SUPPOSED TO BE " BUMPER TO BUMPER" UNDER WARRENTY FOR 90 DAYS BUT THE SERVICE AGENT HANDED ME A $63 BILL FOR CHANGING THE TWO "INSERTS" WORTH LESS THAN $5. I ASKED HIM TO REMOVE THEM AND RETURN MY CAR WITHOUT THE INSERTS. AS I COMPLAINED I WAS REFERRED TO THE SERVICE MANAGER BY A SALES PERSON. ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT HE WAS ON VACATION FOR A WEEK AND HAD NO ONE REPALCING HIM WHILE OUT!! I LEFT THE DEALERSHIP AND CALLED AND CANCELLED MY EXTENDED WARRENTY CALLED "ADDED SECURITY" SINCE I FELT IT WAS ANOTHER TRAP BY THIS DEALER AND I WOULD NEVER GET ANYTHING OUT OF IT ! EXCEPT OUTLANDISH BILLS. I WAS ALSO SUGGESTED TO TAKE THE CAR TO ANOTHER SUBARU DEALERSHIP IF UNHAPPY WITH THE SERVICE THERE AT BILL KOLB,Jr ???!! I THANKED THE GENTLEMAN WHO SUGGESTED THIS AND FELT THAT I HAVE TO TRY AVOIDING THIS DELERSHIP AS BEST AS I COULD. ONE MORE POINT :THE NEXT DEALERSHIP IS TOO FAR FROM WHERE I LIVE AND I MAY FACE THE SAME UNFAIR TREATMENT THERE AS WELL . M. FOSTER, MD

Dr. Foster, I am sorry to hear about your disappointing visit to the dealership. While many customers see the benefit in Subaru Added Security plans, not everyone does and that is your prerogative. I will follow up to make sure that plan has been cancelled for you. As a wear item, the windshield wipers would not be covered under the added security plan but I feel that this should have been caught prior to your taking delivery of the vehicle. I would be happy to have them installed, at no cost to you, as soon as is convenient for you. I would be happy to meet with you in the Service Department to have your other concerns addressed as well. If you would kindly give me another chance I won't let you down. I hop to hear from you.
