This was my first visit after purchasing my Highlander. The service department made check in very efficient and fast. Usual bill for service is from $30-$200. This bill was over $1,000.00. I understand standardization of billing. Charged for 3.5 labor for a 2 hour service. Will never be back. Excellent service on my brake recall. I am am a recent handicapped widow and everyone there not only made it possible for me to get my car serviced but also made me feel comfortable. I recently took in my 2020 Toyota Camry SE for it’s 35,000 mile service in which it states to the technicians will check my brake drums brake pads disk etc. rotate tires change oil and filter. I had on 35,000 mile service in which it states to the technicians will check my brake drums brake pads disk etc. rotate tires change oil and filter. I had one tire that was wearing on the inside and they recommended me changing, I took it to Les Schwab for a new tire and alignment. During the tire change, the technician at Les Schwab showed me that a bolt was coming out of my rear suspension which could’ve caused major damage to my vehicle. The technician at Toyota should’ve seen it right away as the less Schwab technician did. It was very obvious , I do not think I will further take my vehicle to Bill Wright, Toyota in Bakersfield at 5700 Gas Alley Drive. knowing that the technician didn’t complete his inspection correctly and missing the bolt and its missing nut .This could have led to bodily harm of myself and family by missing this bolt. More

Background Traveling from LA to SF Bay area noise began emanating from the right side wheel area: a friction/scraping noise during hard right turns and subsequently a consistent ticking/rattling sort of no emanating from the right side wheel area: a friction/scraping noise during hard right turns and subsequently a consistent ticking/rattling sort of noise while driving. The Bill Wright dealership was the closest Toyota dealer. Reception Service Advisor Stephen Mendez was courteous, friendly and professional He listened attentively and asked appropriate questions to insure he understood my description of the issue. He explained the diagnostic process, the cost and the ramifications of any parts/labor that may result from the mechanical investigation. I completely understood the process and what to expect. I would be waiting onsite for the work to be done. Stephen explained the layout of the waiting area pointing out the amenities present. Top marks here. It was almost as if Stephen was my friend who worked there. Based on this interaction, Stephen is an excellent representative of the company's service operation. Resolution I was back on the road in about 90 minutes. Stephen found me in the waiting room and explained that the culprit was a tree branch that I had run over at some point that had jammed itself into the right side front end and brake assembly. He completely described the steps the technician took to verify the problem, the effort undertaken to identify the cause and the work done to restore proper function, He also advised that the technician found a loose connection in the suspension which he then torqued to spec. He told me that the technician also checked and torqued to spec the other connection points in the front end suspension as well as the rear suspension. No additional parts or labor were required. The work was covered under the reasonable diagnostic fee. Top marks again. Conclusion The reception area was neat and clean. What I could see of the expansive service bay area was as neat, clean and efficient looking as one could want. The waiting area was impressively neat and roomy with multiple TV screens, the parts department, a cafe and charging ports for electronics. The staff with whom I had contact were friendly and courteous. I would bring my car here for service in a hot minute any day of the week. More
