Buyer Beware - Bring your own Mechanic! Buyers beware - Bring your own mechanic because they won’t stand behind their product after the sale. Purchased a 2014 Escalade with 31,000 miles fro Buyers beware - Bring your own mechanic because they won’t stand behind their product after the sale. Purchased a 2014 Escalade with 31,000 miles from them for nearly $40,000 a couple weeks ago. I live 350 miles away and this was an expensive long distance purchase. Was assured the vehicle has passed their rigorous safety inspection with flying colors and needed nothing. 2 weeks later the brakes are grinding and vehicle needs a complete brake job. Rear pads are metal-on-metal (see pics) and fronts have only 10% pad life left. Manager at Boyd says that’s not possible, vehicle couldn’t have worn the parts out that quick, and that I'm out of luck. I’m no mechanic but can clearly see the parts that came off the car are worn out. I don’t know if this vehicle slipped through the cracks during their "inspection" or what happened, but Boyd has no intention to rectify this, which is too bad, as I bought this vehicle from them soley based on their reputation. More
