I would give zero stars if I could. I live an hour away and called ahead to make sure the car I wanted to test drive would be there. When I arrived, the manager had the car at his personal residence to unl and called ahead to make sure the car I wanted to test drive would be there. When I arrived, the manager had the car at his personal residence to unload 12 bags of mulch. I had to wait 40 minutes for him to return. When he did I noted that he looked 17 but thought he was the smartest person alive. I test drove the car and offered to pay sticker price if I received the Kelley Blue Book trade in for my current vehicle. It took them over 24 hours to get back to me with NO as the answer. What car dealership does not honor a nationally recognized vehicle valuation tool. They then told me they would put a spray coat in the back bed liner, because several scratches in the paint were visible. The next day they recanted and offered a cheaper, slide in liner instead. If you like head games and unanswered promises check this place out. If you have a brain, stay away! More
Do not spend your hard earned dollars at Bob Johnson Chevrolet. They are a bunch of scammers. I spent close to $5000 on a body repair and they came back a week later and told me they were going to charg Chevrolet. They are a bunch of scammers. I spent close to $5000 on a body repair and they came back a week later and told me they were going to charge my credit card $250 because the loaner they gave me smelled like smoke. I don't smoke and I did not smoke in the loaner car. I spoke to three people in the service department and they were not customer focused. They want to make the quick sale and then don't give a crap. I am writing this email due to a week of heĺl which started on January 16th I believe. I had my 2014 Malubu LS towed to your location. So to back up in October of 2019 I was told I needed a Arm Rocker started on January 16th I believe. I had my 2014 Malubu LS towed to your location. So to back up in October of 2019 I was told I needed a Arm Rocker Valve but due to strike could not get the part. I was told that if I started having problems to let the service department know. Okay now to current time on Wednesday the 15th my car started stalling out and dying completely while driving. I had to keep pulling over and rest it then start and go for maybe 10 or 20 minutes until same thing kept happening. So it got towed to you guys again I was told no part for maybe 6 months. Okay fine I was offered a loaner for free and here is my frustration I was told I could not get a loaner due to no credit card in my name. And only a spouse or they would except one from my daughter. I am not married and my daughter is fighting stage 4 Ovarian cancer and she does not have a credit card either. She had already rented a car out of her own pocket from enterprise which I am looking for reimbursement for from either this location or GM itself. I understand policy but sometimes exceptions have to be made. Every situation is not the same by no means. My job my ability to get to my job was all compromised due to this fiasco. I had people who were willing to put there credit cards up on the loaner but still it was not good enough. Yet same person was able to pay my 1300 dollar bill with same credit card I dont get that. So 2000 dollars later my car is running . And the part that I was told service could not get for 6 months my nephew found. SO now I am told it wouldnt be covered under warranty. Either they keep car and wait for GM part and I get loaner oh wait I cant get the loaner so now what I have them fix it out of pocket and they fix it and 20 minutes after pulling away from you guys same thing is happening stalling out in traffic needless to say how dangerous this was. I had to drive like this for two days from Webster to Gates where I work. So I make it there Friday the 24th as soon as you open and now the car needs Fuel injectors and 02 sensor. So you can imagine my frustration. I have nothing but the best things to say about Jamall Cade he was very patient and tried his best to help me. I intended on trading in my car and working with Anne Lakis again who is also incredible but at this point I don't know how I could possibly do business there again. The policy of a loaner car is ridiculous especially in this very unusual circumstance. I felt like I was pushed out of a airplane without a parachute. You may be saying well what do you want us to do I would like for a little variance in the loaner situation. And I would like some kind of compensation for this fiasco. Sincerely Yvonne Schultz. No help after purchase from certified dealership We bought A BMW X3 and the salesman gave me 2 key fobs. Unfortunately after a couple weeks we discovered one of the key FOBS did not go to our X3 but We bought A BMW X3 and the salesman gave me 2 key fobs. Unfortunately after a couple weeks we discovered one of the key FOBS did not go to our X3 but rather goes to a BMW 320i that they are still trying to sell. A new key fob for my car will cost $400. I requested they at least pay for half the cost but the manager, Grant refuses. So not only do we have to pay for a new fob but the person who buys the 320i will only have one key because we are not driving to Rochester to return this key fob. If I lose the one and only key fob I own I will not be able to start or drive my X3 so it’s important to have a spare. Make sure you insist on 2 key fobs and make sure they both work before you buy a used car. Lesson learned and we will not return to This dealer. More

They are xxxxxxxx. Stay clear of this place! Traverse was making noises from rear. Took the SUV in and they said the rear calipers were not releasing wide enough when not in use wearing down the Traverse was making noises from rear. Took the SUV in and they said the rear calipers were not releasing wide enough when not in use wearing down the pads down and causing vibration. Said I was responsible for the repair regardless of still being in warranty because its breaks. The service department assigns you one person to deal with but he avoided me and even had me come get the car after his shift was finished even though it was dropped off the night prior. The other "service" people had attitudes and not very bright. Avoid this dealership at all costs. They are too big to care about their customers and do whats right. Never again. Bob Johnson Chevy is garbage. More

I went to this dealership to purchased a used car. Shortly after I purchased it My car hesitated while I was driving. I called them furious. I said some things I shouldn't have as I was mad. But they Shortly after I purchased it My car hesitated while I was driving. I called them furious. I said some things I shouldn't have as I was mad. But they used the fact that I swore at them as an excuse to treat me with nothing but disrespect. They lied about taking the car back and reversing the loan. They lied about the problem being fixed since the day after they fixed it I needed to call tow truck. They threatened to call my girlfriend so they could start drama between the two of us. I have never had such a negative experience with any business and would not recommend them to anyone. More
I wish I could select a negative number because the number I would be selecting would me a negative 10. I have never dealt with a salesmanager who is rude, sarcastic and as demeaning to his customers number I would be selecting would me a negative 10. I have never dealt with a salesmanager who is rude, sarcastic and as demeaning to his customers as Mike. My daughter bought a car from them and received assistance with the down payment. He was rude to that person when all she did was ask who to make the check out to. That should have been a red flag. He sold her a lemon and has been giving her a hard time about fixing their problem. They stated they refused to speak with her because she was upset to the fact she has a new baby that was in the back seat of this car when the car hesitated for several minutes in the middle of a 4 lane road as she was trying to enter. They claimed it was a stuck throttle. The next week it was completely broke down along side the road. They said the main transmission like broke. She had this car a total of 3 weeks. She said this car is going to be nothing but trouble, please take it back or allow me to take it to another mechanic to have fixed over and they fix it before she takes it. They stated they will fix the transmission but they are not going to fix anything else. They talked her into buying an extra insurance to cover it when it breaks down, she has to pay for the first $100. Now they are saying that all that is for is motor and transmission that is not due to normal wear and tear. The transmission line is normal wear and tear they claim. My daughter paid over $2000 for this extra insurance. So when my daughter got upset, they said they will not talk to her anymore, I have to be the one to talk with them. Mike then had the nerve to call my daughter to ask when she was picking up her car and began making rude comments to her abut not being able to take care of her own affairs, she has to send Mommy to do it for her. HE told me the day we left the care to be repaired the only reason why my daughter does not want her car back is because she doesn ot want to have to pay for it. He stated that the reason why she is in their bad credit program is because she never wants to pay for anything she purchases. One thing that he does not know, my daughter does not have credit because she has always paid cash. She thought she would go with them to try to build up her credit. When ever my daughter tried to call them, they hung up the phone on her. What business does this when she only said Hello. This has been such a bad experience exprience, I don't recommend anyone to buy from them. They tell you one thing and do something different, they don't stand ehiind the used cars they sell, and the used cars are over 100,00 miles. Every new/used car dealers I have worked with in the past refuses to sell anything that is that high in miles because they are too unpredictable as far was what may or may not need to be done. They don't want to have a bad name. They claim that they knew the person who traded in this car and knew its service history. They claim that the transmission and motor has always had regular maintaintance. When the transmission went on hthis car, I checked the fluid. The fluid had a burned smell to it and black came off the dipstick. There was fresh fluid on the dipstick because my daughter was told by the to keep adding fluid to get it to her place. We are talking of every 1/2 miles, stopping to add a quart of transmission fluid with a baby in the back seat. She had to drive 10 miles to get home. We are talking about 20 quarts of transmission fluid they expected for her to add. They are CRAZY!!! More
We went to Ideal to look at new Tahoe's on a Sunday afternoon, it was the fourth dealership we had been to in the last couple of weeks. There is something to be said for this "country" dealership, only afternoon, it was the fourth dealership we had been to in the last couple of weeks. There is something to be said for this "country" dealership, only 20 minutes from Rochester & located right off 390. Our initial contact was with the manager Al, after talking to him for two minutes my husband looked at me & said "We are buying a car here" Al, was very welcoming & genuine and he immediately got us on the right track. Our salesman, Dave Sproull was very knowledgeable & didn't give us that uneasy feeling we had gotten from other salesman in the previous weeks. They had a great selection of Tahoe's & we were driving one & talking numbers pretty quickly. Dave was very thorough in discussing our options & the full disclosure was very appreciated. We made our deal ( better price & more $ for our trade-in, right off the bat!) & decided to finance through the dealership as well. The interest rate Ideal found us was better than my own credit union of 25 years offered me! When I went back to get our new Tahoe Monday night they had everything ready to go exactly as agreed. Again Al, Dave & Mike greeted me & John (the finance guy) had all of the paperwork organized & ready to go, it was quick & painless! My truck was spotless, with a full tank of gas & Dave even synced my Iphone to my Bluetooth before I left. From what I understand Ideal is recently under this new management team & it is definitely working for them. I left the dealership feeling that we had gotten exactly what we came in for & the best deal out there, I can't recommend Ideal enough! More
