Poor quality control and worse resolution. I purchased a brand new Forester XT from Bob Moore Subaru. When I was leaving the dealership I noticed that there was no front audio. I went back and I purchased a brand new Forester XT from Bob Moore Subaru. When I was leaving the dealership I noticed that there was no front audio. I went back and told the salesman what I had found and because it was late he asked me to return the following day and they would check it out. I returned and after waiting for four hours (I was offered a loaner) I was told that my head unit was malfunctioning and that I would need a new one. My radio time and date were not reset, which is nitpicky, it just illustrates the attention to detail. I called the next Tuesday to follow up and I was told it would arrive at the end of the week. Friday afternoon I received a call stating that the unit was on backorder and they didn't know when it would arrive. After three weeks of owning a brand new car and several trips back and forth to the dealership I received a call saying that the unit was in. I scheduled an appointment to have the unit installed, after installing the new radio they said the the speakers were still inop and they would like to keep the vehicle overnight for further diagnostics. After almost a month of having my brand new car they found a blown fuse. Fuses should be the first step in the diagnostic process. The vehicle should have been given a thorough PDI, there needs to be better quality control for vehicles going through the service department. The reason I buy a new vehicle is to avoid these kinds of problems. No effort was made to make up for my wasted time or negative experience. More
