Had a transfer box replaced right before my warranty was up at 50K. BMW had a bulletin on the item, I followed through, I was told that if it didn’t work, even if I was over the warranty they would replace up at 50K. I’ve had a relationship with him since I bought the car and he has always had my back. For that matter, Bob Smith Bmw has had my back. Unfortunately, I also had another issue after my warranty expired, with my front differential. That was a huge expense, over $10,000 was quoted. I pleaded my case at 58,000 miles and again, my Tech Rep Ray Silva, stood behind me and took care of the issue. In this case, I did pay something but nothing near the original quoted amount. My experience with Ray Silva and Bob Smith Bmw has been nothing short of spectacular. Great service, returned, phone calls, and just general outstanding service. I highly recommend these guys. More

I've been buying cars from them for the past 15 years and seems like their service dept. went from 5 starts to 0 stars. Scheduled a routine maintenance on my car before the end of the lease when my car was still under maintenance agreement and because of service backlog I received my appointment one day after maturity date. Came to dealership and service advisor said that I need to pay for the service since my warranty ended one day ago even though I called them and scheduled the maintenance when my car was still in warranty. Neither service advisor or his manager wanted to do anything and just showed me the door. This is the treatment that you get at Bob Smith service center. That's just a latest update. In 3 years, I've visited this service center multiple time, it takes them 3 days to do oil change, forget about rental (need to schedule at least week in advance), had to bring the car with the same issue multiple times and it seems like every time you come in, you have a feeling that nobody cares about customer experience. More

UPDATE: 12/01/2021 - I was becoming accustomed to “Ultimate Care Plus” meaning that braking system performance and audio were that of a probably not street legal jalopy, when I had an idea. I brought my car to Century West BMW, where I was told that the inner brake pads were completely worn and were “metal on metal,” according to the service advisor. BMW only uses sensors on the outer pads, which, I was told, is why the brake service indicator did not appear. It seems that if these people put any effort into actually doing their job, rather than directing all of their efforts to deny service to which I was entitled, this could have been avoided. The facts speak for themselves. *WARNING DONT BUY MAINTENANCE PROGRAM FROM BMW * BMW and their dealers are selling a contract in bad faith and defrauding their customers. I purchased a new X3 from Bob Smith (my third BMw) and purchased the longest / best coverage factory warranty and the longest "Ultimate Care Plus" program, which in addition to maintenance, covers the brakes for the life of the program. Now the rotors are warped, causing vibration when braking, and squealing while driving. This dealership that sold the car and the maintenance program along with it, and has done all but two of the services (which were done at another BMW dealer), is refusing to honor the program and contract. They state that they will not fix the problem with the rotors because the brake pads are not completely worn out. I asked many people at BMW USA and at Bob Smith to please point out where in the contract it states that the rotors will not be fixed if the pads are not worn out (this is not listed as an exception, or anything like it). Their answer itself is a lie, saying that the rotors are only warped because of "excessive braking," what a bunch of swindlers. More
The dealer itself is fine, Paul Simms in service is great, the only reason I keep going back there after several new cars. The finance department's sales person Gregg is another story tho, a true co great, the only reason I keep going back there after several new cars. He is all laugh and fun in facade, but will stab the xxxx out of you with the worst deals ever. I can't believe how he scammed me into buying something that I would never even consider otherwise. Ppl like Gregg don't deserve to be trusted w public trust and hard earned money in the dealerships and get cheated. Bob Smith should know better! More

I have purchased or leased 4 BMWs at Bob Smith, always had my car serviced here, and this was the worst experience I have ever had. My appointment was with service representative Rob Meyer at 3:00PM. Unfortunately, I was coming from West Los Angeles, and there was heavy traffic on the 405, and I got to the dealership at around 4:00PM. The last thing I wanted to do after sitting in traffic for an hour and a half was to wait for paperwork to be processed to turn in my car for service, but Rob was a super star. He got the paperwork processed and completed in 5 minutes, and the helpful lady in the loaner car department got me set up with a loaner vehicle, and I was out of there within 15 minutes. Because I had the maintenance plan, i didn't have to pay a dime out of pocket, and my car was ready next day. Pick up was even easier. Dropped off the loaner car, they did a quick inspection of the car, looked at the car gauge, and looked at the miles, and I was all set. My car was brought out as they were doing the review, and I was out of there in 10 minutes. 10/10 will service my vehicle at Bob Smith BMW again in 8,000 miles. More

Rey was attentive, kind, friendly, informed and got my car in and out as fast as possible, and while my car was there...his communication was perfect. Bob Smith BMW is the absolute BEST!!!!
