My oil was changed and tires replaced, however all tires had dramatic difference in air pressure ranging from 42 to 33psi. I had a "Serv 4WD System" light on my Jeep Renegade. I made an appointment and took it in. Less than 30 minutes after arriving I was told I needed a power transfer unit for a quote of $4400. I feel like either they just plugged their computer up and didnt actually look at my Jeep, they dont want to actually find the problem and just quoted a complete replacement to save time because they are behind, or they were hoping a huge quote like that would encourage me to buy a new car, my jeep is paid for. I have an appointment for a second opinion. The local mechanic said it could be as simple as a bad sensor, or it actually might need to be replaced. He did say if it is a power transfer unit replacement he could do it for a grand less than the dealership. More
