My eco diesel Ram 1500, under extended warranty, broke down on the highway due to a faulty EGR cooler. The service manager, Jeff, told me that parts are not available, and that it may take up to six broke down on the highway due to a faulty EGR cooler. When asked if I could assist them in the part search, Jeff sent me a list (all parts but one were in stock @ the factory, and I was able to source the remaining part from two sources and could have it delivered in 24 hours). Having contacted Jeff On October 31st, to see if I should order this part (I was willing to pay for it in order to get My vehicle back), radio silence ensued. Prior to sending my request, Jeff also stated that in addition to the faulty EGR cooler, my vehicle also needed new tires (true, they are worn, but are under warranty), oil change (i completed this recently but didn't erase the error message), an air filter and injector cleaning - around $2k of extras. I responded that I wanted them to proceed only with the warranty items and recalls - nothing else. Finally, after a week and multiple attemts to contact Jeff, I received a reply: Boulder Dodge will not perform the warranty repairs and safety recalls unless I purchase all of the other "repairs" from them, some of which they had already undertaken (against my explicit wishes). Furthermore, Jeff requested that I simply pay the bill for this illicit work and have my vehicle towed to another Ram service center For the necessary repairs and remaining recalls. Amazing. Boulder's a small town and I am a well-connected Boulder business owner. You can bet I will be telling this story to everyone who will listen. More
The service center is really bad. Customer service is poor. Technicians do not know what they’re doing. I brought my ram truck between February and March cause the air suspensions malfunctioned. They said it was the air compressor so had that installed. Few weeks later same issue. They put in a new air compressor for the second time. Same issue kept happening. They misdiagnosed the suspension failure on MANY other occasions. That cost me 6 months and thousands of dollars. They never admitted their fault and made me pay thousands of dollars for their mistakes. More
I would not trust anyone else to work on my Jeep. They are EXCELLENT!!! I had a really odd issue with my Jeep took it to 4 different garages a total of 7 times no one could figure out what was wrong.
