Worst service ever! I bought my Ford Escape from them and immediately had to put $1500 worth of work into the engine. Being that it was a 2001, it didn't surprise me. A year later I bring it in for inspection and thy wanted another $1600 for work that didn't even need to be done. In fact, they were going to let me drive away with bad brake lines. The icing on the cake was that the manager gave me this whole speech about how since I was pregnant, he wanted to make sure my car was safe to drive. Yet he was going to allow me to be over charged for work that didn't need to be done and let his mechanics overlook a very unsafe problem with my brake lines. More

Diagnosis and Estimate I went to their location on J. Clyde Morris when my Ford Fusion began to make a creaking noise from the front-end. I read online that the problem might be a lower control arm bushing, so I told the service writer that may be the problem; but I asked to have it checked out. He told me I needed new struts and estimated the cost to be $1,100 (approximately) and charged me for the diagnosis. I went to another place to get a second estimate. That shop estimated the work at $600. I had the work done, but the noise continued. I asked the second shop to investigate the noise and - without charging me - told me it was the lower control arm bushing. So, not only did Bowditch try to gouge me on the repair price, but they also screwed me on the diagnosis! I will never go there again and have passed along these sentiments to everyone I know. More
RE: I was contacted by Mr. Shoemaker concerned about the complaint I had. When I met up with him he assured me they would correct the problem and handle everything very professionally. Mr. Shoemaker went well beyond the call of duty when it came to handle this problem and so did the service tech who did the work. Everything he agreed to take care of they did plus some. If all dealerships treated customers like this they would only go up in sales. Thanks for fixing everything...Mike More
I was lied to about the work and damage was done to the body. I took it in for the driver side door hinge to be replaced. Ben informed me the driver side finder needed adjusting also. I asked him what would that cost and he said it was already built into the est. I said ok. On Wednesday the following week I stopped by and asked them were they going to be able to finish it and was informed yes. That evening around four thirty or five I was told they were just bring it in to work on. So much for that.The next day around one or so I was contacted and told it was all ready. Upon looking at it I noticed the fender was never touched or adjusted and had to listen to more excuses. When I arrived at home the next day I decided to wash it. I noticed that paint was chipped off on the passenger side of the car and they had run over something that scratched the lower half of the car. I missed that when I picked it up. But I showed Ben that there were only three areas that had scratches and rubs on the new paint job. I also noticed I now have a door ding on the drivers side door. When I picked it up it was parked close to other cars. One was a total wreck and the other was junk. That l gave me a warm feeling all over. As far as I am concerned I should have taken pictures of the car all the way around it and also got everything they agreed to do in black and white. But in this day and time you shouldn't have to do this for a simple repair. The car sits kind of low to the ground and if you notice when you leave their lot and enter RT 17 there is a large dip with loads of marks where cars have rubbed across the drive way. I didn't go that way but went the other way on the side road . They either damaged it entering RT 17 or in there shop. More

3 Month old F150 with a dead battery three times. I hoped to be able to wait on it while serviced but was told by AL that this was not possible.
