The sales representatives were very pushy...that is...after we were finally acknowledged. We spent over 30 minutes on the lot before a sales person actually acknowledged us. The trade in value of our vehicle was MUCH higher than what I was offered despite Mr. Finch's assurance that, "we wouldn't insult you by offering thousands less than what your vehicle was actually worth." We were offered $6,500 for our trade in vehicle and managed to get them to $8,100 (indeed thousands less than it's actual value.) When I brought in a competitor's sticker price for the same exact vehicle that we were interesting in purchasing, Mr. Finch became very angry and sternly told us that there was no way we would get that car for that price despite the written ad. Instead of trying to keep our business, Mr. Finch became very aggressive. It was obvious he didn't want to work with us unless we agreed to his terms. Honest negotiation went out the window. Finally, he threw our papers back at us and told us, "Go to Richmond if you want, but make sure they give you that $8,100." When I asked if he would be willing to give us another written offer to reflect the agreed $8,100 on the trade in, his response was a VERY curt and sarcastic, "No ma'am." In the end we didn't have to travel to Richmond. We were able to go to Owen Ford in Jarratt, VA where we were greeted at the door. We were shown several vehicles while our truck's trade in value was being assessed. We were immediately offered $12,000...that's right...$12,000 dollars for our truck. (Now is about the time to recall that remark about not insulting me by offering thousands less than our truck's value.) No haggling. No arguing. Just good customer service and friendly people. Owen Ford has definitely earned our business in the future. We won't even consider Boyd next time. Such a shame! More

I went to Boyd Chevrolet of Emporia to purchase a used 2009 Ford F-250 Super Duty. I was greeted very well and was so happy when Kellie stated that she could get me financed (I don't have the best credit) 2009 Ford F-250 Super Duty. I walked out of there with the truck I have been wanting for a very long time. However, from the moment I walked out of there, they forgot all about me. After putting down a $10,000 down payment, I had to return and pay another $800+ for TT&L due to a miscalculation. Paul was supposed to call Ford to find out some things about the truck that didn't work and he never did so and never called me about it. After talking to Nick about the TT&L mishap, he treated me like a misfit and did nothing to help me (mind you, after I had already given this dealership $10,000 in cash). He talked down to me and acted like he was so very superior. I returned later about the problem with the truck and Nick sent me down to the Ford dealership and said to have them call him. When they told him what was needed, he then told me that they would NOT take care of this problem (even though they had acknowledged the problem since day 1). He also was very rude in talking to me and again talked down on me and acted like I didn't know what I was talking about (I have family and friends in the business and I am not dumb to how it works). After calling and telling my story over and over, I received a call from Kevin @ the South Hill dealership. He did what he could to help and told me that I would receive a call from the GM of the Emporia store - I never received that call. I took it upon myself to find Brandon Boyd to discuss these matters. The first time I called him, he told me he could not talk to me and told me to call him later (wouldn't give a specific time or day). The second time I called he picked up the phone and hung up on me. The third time I called, I left a voicemail that wasn't very pleasant. He called me a couple of days later and I was not in a position to talk as I had an emergency going on and asked that he call me the next day. That was a week ago and I have not heard from him. This dealership does not care about customer satisfaction, customer service or anything other than the money in their pocket. Being in a small area, they do not have much competition and I guess they find that this is the reason they can treat their customers poorly. I may not make a big difference, but I will do my best to tell everyone I know about this poor service. I have had friends who were looking to buy since this all occurred and refuse to go to Boyd due to my experience. In the end, I do NOT recommend Boyd at all. The only positive experience I had with them was the price was great and they got me in the truck. The service after the sale has been downright horrible. More
Nick was very helpful in locating the Equinox that we were looking for and was quick to respond with what he had located. Kelley is a true professional at her job and was very helpful in explaining all our options and thereby made our chooses to get the extended warranties very helpful along with the protective coating for the Equinox that we purchased. I will recommend all my friends and family to go to this dealership as well as I will be a return customer also. All five stars to Boyd Chevrolet and their great staff. More

My experience at Boyd Chevrolet was Great! Tiffany Weddle and Brandon Boyd helped me big time! Brandon personally called his bank to get me financed. Even though my credit wasn't the greatest, and the dealer i had dealt with previously on the Impala i was trying to trade in gave me a bad deal. It must have been my lucky day. He (Brandon Boyd) put his name on the line, made that phone call to the bank when they weren't going to approve me. And got me into the car that i wanted. With a very reasonable payment. His commercial is definitely not all talk. He literally goes that extra mile for his customers and i would recommend any and everyone to Boyd's Chevrolet. If you want fair and reasonable, then Boyd Chevrolet is the place to go. The staff have high energy, great attitudes, and are there to service you in anyway that they can.
