They lost my car on day one, they “fixed the issue” and I got 5 miles away and my car stopped working properly, they took 4 weeks to diagnose a engine code, then lost my car when I tried to pick up I had to got 5 miles away and my car stopped working properly, they took 4 weeks to diagnose a engine code, then lost my car when I tried to pick up I had to find it for them. I also discovered my dipstick was sitting on top of windshield cowl instead of inserted properly allowing air into the engine block. The only response was excuses of construction and Hyundai corporate. No ownership of their own terrible service. More
I will not be taking my vehicle back to Brandon Hyundai. This was the worst dealer/service experience I’ve encountered and I would not recommend this service department to anyone! While driving, my 2021 Sonata shut off and was unable to be restarted. I had the vehicle towed to the dealership on 11/26 and wasn’t able to speak to anyone about it until 11/30. He tells me that the car was malfunctioning due to contaminated gas and the price would be ~$850 to fix. When I asked for an explanation of how this is the reason for the vehicle not being able to start, I was told, “THIS IS WHAT I WAS TOLD BY MY TECH I WILL GET MY MANAGER INVOLVED TO SEE WHAT WE CAN DO”. However, I called multiple times to speak with a manager and was unable to. I finally spoke with Nathaniel the “lane manager” who tells me that my car is fine, they did not see anything that I had explained, that they weren’t sure about the gas being the cause of the issue, and that I could come to pick up my car the same or following day. The next day, I arrive and my car still could not be started. The advisor then tells me that the lane manager misspoke and the car is NOT drivable. No diagnostic had been completed on the vehicle and I had my car towed elsewhere. After being completed, the diagnostic revealed the issues were caused by a faulty part which was covered under the warranty. When I brought the diagnostic paperwork to the “lane manager” he informed me that it doesn’t tell him or me anything about the vehicle. I was without a car for 3 weeks because Hyundai was unable to provide me with a loaner vehicle. Not only did I find them to be unprofessional, but they were also condescending and poor communicators.
