Dropped off the car for an oil change on a Saturday morning. Half an hour before they closed I called to see if my car was ready. I said yes, he replied that since they were about to close it wouldn’t be done that day, was I ok with my car staying there over the weekend. I said ok. Monday - no contact. I called and was told the part was ordered and wouldn’t arrive until Tuesday morning. Tuesday- I get an email that the part arrived. No contact from the agent. I called Tuesday afternoon multiple times and finally got through to be told the technician didn’t have time to install it, he’d do it Wednesday. Wednesday comes, no contact from the agent. I called multiple times again and finally got through Wednesday afternoon to be told my car still wasn’t ready. Thursday came and went. I had given up calling to check on my car’s status. I needed a day off from the frustration. Friday came and I got a call from another agent who saw my work order and wondered if I had gotten my car back. When I said no he said he’d check with my agent to see if it was done and have him call me back. An hour later my agent calls to tell me it’s done. I was without my car for a week, which was extremely inconvenient. Plus I was not kept informed about what was going on during the entire time. Plus the agent lied to me about contacting me that first day. This is my third Hyundai and my husband was considering buying a Hyundai for his next car this spring, but this experience has changed our minds about going with a Hyundai if this is the kind of service we can expect. More
My car was in the shop for 5 months. I heard 4 different stories on what was wrong. I had to constantly track down the service advisor for updates and it was always an excuse and story. I also had to trade rentals due to recalls in the first one. When the issue was finally identified it took 2 months to get the ball fully rolling. Just before the final repairs, in an attempt to recoup some lost wages, I was told I needed another costly repair. The labor cost was taken out. The bill was still outlandish just for parts. When I finally went to receive my car it wouldn’t start. They had to use a jumper kit to get it to turn over. I was told the battery was old. Now the key fob won’t work at all, the car is has been having issues turning over, and the rear lights aren’t functioning properly. Today the car won’t turn over at all. This has been, by far, the worst experience I have ever had at a dealership. More
