I came for a recall, got an appointment at 8:00 am. I had to ask 2 different people for an update after waiting for 3 hours. I hate to be writing a bad review but I received MULTIPLE emails requesting a review since my visit and left a message with a manager without a return call so here's my honest review of this dealership. I recently moved to the Brandon area and always get my car serviced at a Hyundai dealership without any issues so I thought this location would be the same. I was wrong. I called and made an appointment for a Saturday as I needed an oil change and a recall notice. I waited for 20 minutes before anyone even came to check me in and when they finally did, I dropped off my car, left my phone number and was told they would call me within the next 4 hours when it was completed. Nobody called to let me know what was going on. I called an hour before closing and was told it wasn't done so I told them to keep the car until Monday. On Monday, I called at Noon and was told they didn't perform the oil change yet and they wouldn't have the "hose to check for the engine recall until Friday". I was NEVER informed of this when I dropped my car off and was in fact told it would be ready in 4 hours. I told them to just do the oil change and I'd be in to get the car in 1 hour. When I arrived, I stood in the office while people walked around me like I was invisible. No one working there even acknowledged me standing there or even asked If I was there to pick up my car. After 10 minutes I finally asked someone for my keys, paid my invoice and left. I didn't want to cause a scene at the dealership so I called to speak to a manager the next day in order to discuss having the engine recall looked at. I left a message as "all managers are unavailable" and I never received a notice or phone call back to come in and have my recall completed. I will NEVER return to this dealership again. Don't waste your time or money here in their service department. I will not be returning for service on my car or to purchase a new one in the future. Highly disappointed with the customer service and staff at this location. More
This was my first service visit to the dealership and I’m quite disappointed. I checked in at 9:18, for my 9:30 appointment. I saw on the valet board my name and one other lady’s name were listed. I saw my service advisor text the valet driver I would need a ride. At 9:25, the valet driver left the dealership. I was told the driver was only going to Riverview. I said I’d wait. I only live a mile from the dealership and could have either walked or scheduled an Uber. At 10:25, I checked in with the service advisor about where the driver was. She texted him to find out. I don’t know if there was a response. At 10:53, the driver returned with an empty Panera cup in his hand. I went in at 11:15, to inquire about a ride and/or the status on my car. I was told it was being run through the car wash, even though it was parked in front of the service bay and had been for about 10 minutes. At 11:25, the service advisor came out to tell me a nail was found in my tire. I agreed to pay for a patch repair. I was assured the patch was guaranteed, but have since learned that is not the case. I was told the patch would only take a few minutes and then my car would be washed and vacuumed. Even though previously I had been told it was washed. I didn’t end up leaving the dealership until 12:04, and left with an unwashed, non-vacuumed car. The washing and vacuuming wasn’t important to me; however, having to wait for these extra services to only find out they were not done is disappointing. In the amount of time I spent waiting at the dealership, I could’ve walked home and back several times over. While the advisor was friendly, it was still an overall terrible experience. Why would I come back or even recommend this place to anyone? When I was shopping for my car, I initially went to this dealership only to be mocked by a salesman for wanting a hybrid. I went to Lakeland and purchased my car. I then made the drive to Lakeland for all of my service appointments. I will continue to make that drive because their staff is friendly, responsive, and respectful. More
I had a screw in my tire and had it patched at a different shop. It ended up leaking so I had to get a new tire. I made an appointment and was told to come in early. I came in early and they got me right in. I was also advised of a recall that they needed to take care of. Service was slow. After I gave them the keys it was almost two hours before I was advised what was happening. Only half of my problem was solved. The team at this dealership is fantastic. I want to give special mention to Harold Delacruz. He provides excellent customer service and goes out of his way to ensure that me, as a customer is fully satisfie special mention to Harold Delacruz. I wouldn’t take my Sonata anywhere else and always choose Harold as my service advisor when making appointments. He’s the best! More
