Very Happy With Service I had an issue with my 2016 Impreza wherein the ignition key would not turn to the full off position and thus would get stuck in the steering column w I had an issue with my 2016 Impreza wherein the ignition key would not turn to the full off position and thus would get stuck in the steering column when I turned off the engine. Happened a couple of times, and I had to fiddle with the key and shift lever to extract it. This apparently is a problem with a very small percentage of these cars, but Subaru of America (SOA) put out a service bulletin on it nevertheless. The car was out of warranty so I called SOA, and they said to bring the car to a dealer to have them diagnose the problem and then call back to see if they would cover at least part of the repair cost. I had bought the car originally at Brattleboro Subaru and have had nothing but excellent experiences with the entire staff there, so I called their service department. Spoke with Morgan who realized my dilemma and said she could schedule me for 9:00 AM the next morning. Super! When I got there I was greeted by Curtis Green who understood the ignition problem and was able to get the car in for diagnosis right away. A short while later Curtis informed me that cost for repair would be close to $300, which is a lot of money for this old retired sailor. I gave him the okay for the repair. Next thing I know, Curtis comes in and says he took it upon himself to call Subaru on my behalf to see if they would cover the charge, and SOA agreed to pay the whole bill. I was stunned, but not entirely surprised. This dealership has bent over backwards for me in the past and apparently is still very focused on customer satisfaction. I drove away a happy man. Love this dealership. More
Worth driving up to Brattleboro - Thanks Matthew We read quite a few reviews regarding Brattleboro Subaru, which helped encourage us to contact them by email and telephone about purchasing a used 201 We read quite a few reviews regarding Brattleboro Subaru, which helped encourage us to contact them by email and telephone about purchasing a used 2019 Subaru Forester. Our salesman was Matthew Hale, who we feel did a great job explaining the vehicle on our test drive and spoke highly of this dealership. After an interesting discussion with one of the sales managers, we left Vermont still thinking about the possibility of owning the vehicle. Our salesman Matthew reached out to us several days later and said he and his management team agreed they would sell us the vehicle for the price we offered. As it turns out, it was well worth the 1 hour trip from Massachusetts to Brattleboro, VT and this dealership. Matt should be commended by his managerial staff for going the extra mile for us. We shopped at three southern VT dealers for our Outback, and while they didn’t have quite what we wanted (and couldn’t quite give us the best price o We shopped at three southern VT dealers for our Outback, and while they didn’t have quite what we wanted (and couldn’t quite give us the best price on what they did have, which was still an excellent car and a fair price), they were far and away the finest service experience. Incredibly efficient, kind and friendly, never even approaching overbearing. Matt did everything in his means and kept on looking for true workable solutions to get our business in the best way. Big contrast with other dealers who did the classic making us wait around and feel like we were doing them a favor by buying their car. They just didn’t have the right used car for the right price for us at that time, but I would send anyone there first. More
