Above and beyond! It's funny how attached we can get to cars, and we LOVE this one already! After our "teen car" was totalled in an accident, I was concerned I wouldn' It's funny how attached we can get to cars, and we LOVE this one already! After our "teen car" was totalled in an accident, I was concerned I wouldn't be able to find a replacement in my price range. Also, while I knew it was a stretch, I gave top priority to getting the same make and model car as the one we "lost." (Again, car bonding... It's a thing!) I searched local dealerships as well as various online and newspaper options. I even drove 3 hours (one and a half each way) to see/buy a car, only to find the dealership had been dishonest (specifically advertised it had 1 owner, non-smoker and I asked before driving out, explaining that was critical.) I was disheartened to open the door and not only smell the smoke but to see 2 cigarette burn marks in the driver's seat. I was hesitant to risk making the same mistake again. But my experience w/Kevin at Brookfield was such a relief, so different from the get-go. He responded quickly, was patient, honest and thorough in answering my questions. I decided it was worth the 5-hour round trip drive and hoped my trust wasn't misplaced. Then, he did even better! His fantastic communication revealed he was headed to Chicago for training and he jumped through some hoops to make it possible for me to meet him there, instead, ultimately shaving 3 hours off my drive! He had to work quickly to get all the paperwork completed in time and coordinate with others to make it happen. He really went above and beyond in helping me, every step of the way. It renewed my faith in/willingness to do business with a dealership. While I still think it's good practice to take a used car to a mechanic before purchasing, overall, I have no regrets and love, love, LOVE this car! (I am having trouble letting go of it to become the "teen car!") And, side note- I FORGOT HOW FUN IT IS TO DRIVE STICK SHIFT!! Thanks again, Kevin!!! You truly went above and beyond! More
