Worsening of a squeaking of the divers side seat. I was in the area. I did not have an appointment when I arrived. I stopped by to see if I needed or could possibly get one. After explaining the problem to Richard my service representative, my Outback was immediately accepted. The rail on which the seat tracks was significantly rusted. This was replaced. The problem was resolved. I was not charged for the services. I was amazed and really relieved to say the least. I really appreciated the time, urgency and personal care Richard and the Technichian exhibited. KUDOS Y’all! More
Been trying to have the same problem fixed for 6 months now Not only was my car once returned to me with pieces missing from it but I’ve also been trying to have the same part fixed for the past 6 months. Your people even tried to convince me not to have it fixed at all. I’ve been waiting on a part to come in for a month then was told to drive all the way to your dealership because the part was there just to find out that you had the wrong part. What in God’s name is going on over there. How is this level of incompetence even possible? More

It took three visits. Several weeks ago, I began to notice a knocking sound in the front driver's side of the front end. When I took it in for a scheduled oil change, I men Several weeks ago, I began to notice a knocking sound in the front driver's side of the front end. When I took it in for a scheduled oil change, I mentioned it and asked them to check it out. They called me and said they could not hear the knocking when they drove it. I took a ride with an associate and couldn't reproduce the knock, but I told them that I heard it frequently. I even suggested that it might be a broken strut mount, which I experienced before on another car. I was told to bring it back if I continued to hear the knock. I brought it back a couple of weeks later because the knock persisted and I was preparing to take a trip to my daughter who lives in Virginia. I took a drive with an associate and again, during that drive we could not produce the knocking sound. I told them that something must be wrong, but I was assured that the car was fine for my upcoming trip. We drove to VA and heard the knock frequently during the drive. My son-in-law, a mechanic who owns an auto repair shop, took it for a drive and immediately suggested that it was either a loose or broken strut mount or a broken strut. Upon returning home, I brought my 2018 Outback back for service and told them what my son-in-law said. I took another drive with a mechanic who said he thought he heard something and would check it out. The invoice reads as follows: "Failed LF Strut and mount 2.00 Tested drove vehicle and found that over bumps the LF would make a rattle noise, inspected and found the left front strut, leaking fluid and the excessive play cause the strut mount the rattle, replaced both the LF strut and mount and test drove to verify repair." It concerns me that I had to make repeated visits to get this problem rectified and that I was told the car was fine for a long trip. This was not my first such experience with this car. Earlier, the power lift gate was opening sometimes and sometimes not or partially opening. I brought it in twice and was told it seemed to be working fine. So I video recorded about a dozen times when it didn't operate and brought it. Finally, they realized the problem and took about 2 weeks to fix it ( a loaner was provided). I cannot help but have concerns about the quality and durability of this car and the competency of the service department at this dealership. Customer # 1013738 Invoice #179015 More
