What a great experience. This is the first time in 27 years I have bought a car at a different place. Max and Rick made the process easy and at no time felt pressured. Had a terrible experience with Tom. I called service about Noon on Wednesday asking if there was any room to squeeze my Tiguan in for a diagnostic since it was throwing a Check Engine Light. I believe I talked to Norman and he said they could get us in around 2 pm. He was very pleasant to talk to. I told him i would call a little bit later since i was at work and i needed to see if my wife was able to drop it off. After i talked to my wife she confirmed she was able to drop it off. I called back to service around 1 pm asking if we could still drop off the Tiguan to get it checked out. This time Tom answered the phone. Here is where things went south. When i asked if i could drop off that same day Tom said the earliest he could get me in was the 26th because they had 50 cars waiting to get serviced and that there was “NO WAY“ anybody told me i could drop off the vehicle that day. After a minute he loosened up and said he could squeeze us in but a might be a couple days before we would get our vehicle back. I agreed and proceeded to call my wife to take the vehicle in after dealing with Toms attitude on the phone. My wife ended up taking the Tiguan and she told me Tom was the one one who attempted to take care of her. She said immediately she got a very negative attitude from Tom and that he was being extremely unprofessional. He was uninterested when she was explaining to him what was wrong and how the Engine light came to be. After a while of taking Tom’s negative attitude my wife ended up asking for her keys back and let Tom know that she didn’t appreciate the way he was treating her. We were already in a vulnerable place not knowing what was wrong with our vehicle WE JUST BOUGHT. For Tom to treat my wife the way he did really concerns me how your service department operates. After she got the keys back i made some calls to some other shops and took our business elsewhere. Its a bummer because we intended on using you guys as our main service provider for our Tiguan since we have the Lifetime Warranty with you guys. After this experience im not sure if i want to use you guys a again to keep our Tiguan running. Not a good look for you guys. More

Tires on new Tiquan needed balancing The tires on our new Tiquan needed to be balanced. Although service rep on phone said tires are usually not covered under warranty (less than 3,000 mi The tires on our new Tiquan needed to be balanced. Although service rep on phone said tires are usually not covered under warranty (less than 3,000 miles on car) he said bring it in and we'll see. I relayed this conversation with service rep at dealership and proceeded to waiting area. About 45 minutes later, someone told me car was ready and was given a bill for $80 for tire balancing. I told the rep that someone should have told me there would be a charge. I was told I needed to speak to another service person who was on the phone. I waited until he finished his call, then the first service rep came back and said there was no charge. Bottom line is I am pleased with outcome, but it there was some confusion and miscommunications as to a charge or not. By the way, we did purchase prepaid maintenance when we leased the car. I don't know if that made the difference or not as nothing was said other than there is no charge. More
