Mr. Barnett; I am happy to see you resolved your issue. Having said that I appreciate your comments but would like to respond. While we were/are willing to attempt to assist you in your repair, I am not able to persuade Chrysler to offer assistance on a vehicle that has been out of warranty for nearly 50,000 miles and was purchased pre-owned. Many of our good customers prefer to protect their investments with an extended warranty, which would have covered your repair. I'm sorry you chose not to do that. As for the request of giving you the $8,000 that day, I can generally get a check within 24 hours (which requires owners signatures who are not on the premises). I was never asked to have the money same day. You said you were offered $8,250 elsewhere and I congratulated you. It is certainly much more than the market is paying, so you did well. Again, my apologies that Chrysler did not extend the warranty well past it's expiration. My hope is that you opted to purchase an extended warranty on your new vehicle. I always tell my customers that it is their choice, but in declining the warranty they understand that when things happen (as they most certainly did) there is no guarantee that an automaker is under any obligation to help. I have no sway when a vehicle is out of warranty that far. Congratulations again on your new purchase! Ken Kraft General Manager
