Excellent. I was looking for a replacement car as mine after 20 years (!) had become unreliable. I had only begun looking this past week and looked at a used Subaru which at 70,000 miles was still going t after 20 years (!) had become unreliable. I had only begun looking this past week and looked at a used Subaru which at 70,000 miles was still going to cost me about $18,000. Plus the dealer was not forthcoming about the Carfax and the fact that the car had been in an accident. Several features of the car didn't work but I really just wanted a another safe car without thinking about it. My husband dissuaded me and so I figured I would just keep driving my old Volvo, feeling like Fred Flinstone running my feet along the pavement to make sure it still ran. But I no longer felt safe taking my car on the highway. On a whim I agreed to go with my husband to Campbell Nelson although I cringed at the price of a new car and so resisted a new car dealership. He had already been there the week before to check things out and wanted me to come back with him. My husband and I are both teachers with one son in college and two more on the way. So cost was definitely a factor. I loved the feel of Campbell Nelson. As a Christian myself I could feel the faith-based focus of this business. I felt no pressure from our salesman, Stephen Biner just a willingness to help. We started with the new Jettas because my husband had researched that this car in Consumer Reports had the highest customer satisfaction and we tried to figure out how to do payments over the longest period. Then we started looking at the used vehicles on the lot. I was amazed to find a Mercedes with low mileage in my (extremely--perhaps unreasonably frugal) price range. It was gorgeous. When we took it for a test drive I felt like this was the perfect car for me. It also had every luxury including leather seats, sun room, and at last, a sturdy cup holder--something the old volvos did not have. The financing department found us an even better rate than our USAA bank! And Susie in the financing department walked us through the service policy options. It turned out that I could get the same service option on this 2002 Mercedes as I could get on a new car, including coverage of engine and transmission trouble. Talk about good value. We came out of that dealership with a beautiful low mileage Mercedes under $16,000. I actually look forward to going back to work. My students won't laugh at my car anymore. As a teacher I would give Campbell Nelson an A+. I would also encourage other unsavvy car shoppers to check there first. They will be honest and helpful and , unlike the other dealership I was at, forthcoming about what you need to know to make a wise purchase. More

They are smaller than other VW dealers, but their integrity, competitive prices and fair trade-in offers coupled with genuinely authentic tradition. I drove nearly 90 minutes one way in traffic to conduct business with this dealer, and have absolutely no regrets. No high pressure tactics, just straight forward folks who earn your business the old fasioned way... no "I'll check with my manager" stuff with you sitting and waiting around taking up time. Absolutely the best and most thorough car delivery I ever had as well - demonstrated every feature on the car. If you are condidering a VW, you owe it to yourself to go to Campbell Nelson VW; you won't regret it. More
This is thefourth car we have purchased from this dealership and we always recomend them to friends. My experience with Campbell Nelson and Todd Ackley was outstanding. At other dealerships you usually walk away wondering if you really received a fair deal. When my transactions with Mr. Ackley were completed I was very confident that everything was fair for both parties. I cannot recommend Campbell Nelson or Todd Ackley any higher. Purchasing a vehicle is one of my least favorite things to do. Mike made this process so much easier for me. Right from the begining he was on my side. I talked to him for almost a week before taking the long drive from Olympia to Edmonds. Let me just say hands down, it was worth it. Everyone should have an experience like this. I am working on rebuilding my credit and before we even went over the details about the auto loan, Mike went over my credit score with me. He even gave me some great tips on how to build my score back up and talked about a rough year plan to get even better financing. Overall this was a great experience. Before going to Campbell Nelson I had done quite a bit of research on what kind of vehicle I was looking for and what kind of budget I was working with. Mike was very understanding of our limitations and understood exactly what we were looking for. They had quite a few options on the lot that we were able to look at and test drive. Mike explained the differences to us and seemed honest in his answers. We ended up getting a car that was even better than I hoped for but was still within our budget. Also, he took care of all the financing and found us exactly the rate we were hoping for. Overall, my husband was happy, I was happy, and my daughter is even excited about "her" new car. More
When purchasing my Jetta I worked mostly with Heath Bower, Campbell Nelson's Internet Sales and Leasing Manager. In fact, most of the deal was done over email within the span of about 4 hours. I owned a 2006 Jetta that I was looking to trade in so knew a lot about the car already. Heath, along with the help of Susie Karle, Cambell Nelson's Finance Manager, was able to get me into a much better loan in a brand new car without any hassle. I was able to go directly from work at the end of the day and pick up my new Jetta! Overall I was very impressed with the prompt and efficient way my transaction was handled. Heath and Susie were very straight-forward and the entire experience was pleasant and in no way stressful. More

After going through a bankruptcy nearly a year ago I was very hesitant to buy a new/used vehicle. First of all a bankruptcy is embarassing I hate having people know about it, let alone having to explain th very hesitant to buy a new/used vehicle. I was currently driving a 1995 Nissan Altima with 170,000 miles although the car was still preforming okay I knew it was getting to be on its last leg. So I started researching cars and dealerships to try and find out what the possibilities where available to someone with my credit history. I filled out a couple of on-line surveys and within an hour Mike Cardenas was calling me to assist me with my car buying. He was very honest and up-front from the beginning, letting me know he would be personally calling banks to verify approval before he would have me come in to look at any vehicles. Within 24 hours he called me back to have me come down to the dealership feeling very confident I would get an acceptable loan. I went down to Campbell Nelson the next day and sat and talked with Mike about my options. He put me at ease, assuring me that he had dealt with these situations before and was confident he could get me into a newer car without any hassles. Mike took the time to call multiple banks to get me a reasonable monthly payment with a reasonable interest and terms. We then searched the car lots inventory where we found a 2008 Chrysler PT Cruiser that I really liked. Mike did some number crunching for me and I found that car was a definite possibilty for me. So I felt comfortable signing the contracts that enabled me to trade in my old car put a down payment and drive away in a fantastic "new" car. I am not trying to imply that my interest rate is good, because it's not, I had to put a decent down payment on the Cruiser, but I was given an opportunity to start re-building my credit and drive a safe and reliable car. I will be able to re-finance the vehicle in a years time with solid payment history. I am not so scared of my bankruptcy anymore, and I owe a lot of that to Mike. He was very informative of not only purchasing the car but on how to re-establish my credit. I would definitely reccomend Campbell/Nelson Volkswagen and Nissan and especially Mike Cardenas to anyone who thinks they are not able to get into a new or used vehicle due to credit issues and bankruptcies. I just bought my second car from Heath Bauer because he is super imformantive, shoots it straight and doesn't waste my time with all kinds of mumbo jumbo...oh and he is funny as hell too! I have been treated like a real human being everytime I've stepped foot in that place no matter if it's for a new car or if it's something they need to fix under waranty. I love both of the cars I've gotten from Campbell Nelson...1st was a 2008 4dr Rabbit and the latest is a 2009 Jetta TDI and I really like it the most!! Such great gas milage :) ~Chrys More
