I have been sitting in a broken down camper stuck in Florida for 9 months..I have called the CEO, corporate offices of Thor and Camping world and anyone else that works at the Jacksonville department ju Florida for 9 months..I have called the CEO, corporate offices of Thor and Camping world and anyone else that works at the Jacksonville department just to hear..we don't have your parts, the parts didn't get ordered 5 times, we forgot about you..etc. It's a 22 Thor Freedom Traveler and camping worlds last comment to my review was sorry about that please contact the corporate office .They are just trying to push the warranties so they don't have to fix anything. The water lines are messed up, the air conditioners don't work right. The slide out rubber is off and countless other thing. Camping world has failed miserably as has Thor. I would think they would stand behind their products but all they do is make excuses. They had it for 3 months said they fixed and replaced the undercarriage doors and water pump..I still had no hot water for 2 months and had to hire someone else to come fix it. The pump was never replaced, one of the doors was put on months after they said they had replaced both doors and I'm still waiting on the other one and half of the decals. So they charged the manufacturer for work they never did and parts they never ordered. Now they don't answer my calls or return any messages. Thor told me to wait longer they'd eventually honor the warranties after I find another repair place and spend more time and resources on chasing them and waiting. I have a page full of things that never worked to begin with and put less than 2 thousand miles on it, most were going back and forth to camping world just to wait all day hear they forgot me and can you come back tomorrow. I cannot thank the team at the Camping World in Jacksonville enough for a great experience. They made our first time RV purchase a breeze and were so patient with our many questions. Tyler was our Jacksonville enough for a great experience. They made our first time RV purchase a breeze and were so patient with our many questions. Tyler was our salesperson and stayed in constant communication with us throughout the process. The choices of campers on the lot could be overwhelming if it weren't for the knowledgeable team. They heard our needs and wants and took us directly to the type of units that we were looking for in order to choose the best one for us. Danny from the Service Department did our walk through prior to delivery to go over every detail of our new unit. He did an outstanding job teaching us newbies. We had one challenge, no fault of Camping World, with our refrigerator not functioning. After kind, responsive and helpful dialogue with Sandy in the Service department and calls with Tyler who even face-timed us to walk us through the possible fixes, we realized it was beyond our capabilities to repair and not user error. CW sent an awesome tech, Josh, out to help us. Josh was so knowledgeable and quickly diagnosed the issue. He submitted a request for a whole new refrigerator due to a faulty compressor. Gordon, the Gen. Mgr., graciously got involved when we needed him to deal with what could have been lengthy warranty wait times. Again, no fault of Camping World, this was an issue with the warranty company and their not user friendly processing system. Our refrigerator was replaced quickly thanks to the awesome sales and service team at Camping World and we are LOVING our 5th wheel. I would not hesitate to recommend this team to anyone considering an RV purchase. Marcus Lemonis would be proud! More

We had to replace our air conditioner in a brand new (2-month-old) Dutchman Ultralite. We purchased the RV in Myrtle Beach, but we were closer to Jacksonville. Myrtle Beach had me call them. Josh came a (2-month-old) Dutchman Ultralite. We purchased the RV in Myrtle Beach, but we were closer to Jacksonville. Myrtle Beach had me call them. Josh came and tested the air conditioner. He submitted to warranty for a replacement. Josh came to us in his mobile truck, which was so much easier than driving the RV to service. His personality and workmanship are spot on. He is friendly, quick, and answered all my questions clearly and without a hurry. Josh brought another service tech, Zane, and he was friendly and helpful as well. I also worked with Wendy and Amanda from the service department. Both are extremely helpful. I hope if or when we need service again, we are near Jacksonville and can request Josh and Zane. More
Well, I wish I could say this is a good and reputable company to do business with. Like a good many folks who leave reviews, the sales staff was very nice and the actual purchase of an RV was a pleasant company to do business with. Like a good many folks who leave reviews, the sales staff was very nice and the actual purchase of an RV was a pleasant experience. HOWEVER, this is where it stops. Like a good many other folks who leave negative reviews, the implementation of the follow-up obligations of this organization are deplorable and more then likely criminal. I currently own a unit which was sold as being thoroughly inspected, safe, and sound. To quote the sales staff - “Camping World will not sell a unit which is not inspected and found to be safe and usable. Units not meeting these standards are put out to auction”. They charge $495 for this inspection service (in addition to the $499 dealer service fee). Within 1 week of delivery, it was found to have a significant portion of the floor and back wall completely rotted out, to the extent that the unit is effectively unsafe and not recommended for use. The unit was also scheduled to have a new awning installed. Repeated attempts to get either item addressed have proven to be in vain. The management of this organization has taken a path of not responding to any inquiries and appears to have instructed all their subordinates to ignore this customer till they go away. If one does a little research it becomes clear this is a common tactic within the organization. It obviously works for them since it seems to be so very prevalent. Don’t take my word for it. Look around. It is pretty easy to find similar complaints. A good place to start is the BBB. You won’t find much positive input. Camping World does not qualify for a rating. There are many review sites. All have the same conclusions. An interesting one is on “indeed” where employees rate their work experience. It has a very similar ring as that of the many many dissatisfied / wronged customers. Go figure... There are PLENTY of options out there when it comes to RV dealerships. Use a different one !! You will not regret it. This group is likely to leave you in a bad spot should you need them to provide follow-up service and you will have to look long and hard to find an RV which does not need follow-up attention. Good Luck. More

Walked into Camping World of Jacksonville Florida to purchase a new camper on a Sunday. We got there before the store opened and walked around the parking lot waiting for the store to open. We saw peopl purchase a new camper on a Sunday. We got there before the store opened and walked around the parking lot waiting for the store to open. We saw people walking around to the side where the service department is located so we follow them. The store opened 20 minutes earlier and the front door was still locked. After going inside, not one of the three employees we could see spoke to us. We approached an employee and told them we wanted to purchase a camper so they found us Alyssa (sorry if it's misspelled). She took us on the golf cart to look at campers. We found a 2021 that was used and according to the sales lady only used for 3 months and returned in order to purchase a bigger unit. Great!,,,wrong. Several things that she told us about the camper that we had concerns about were found to be untrue. As we are waiting to do paperwork with her, she comes back in and says this camper was sold but the paperwork hasn't been signed yet so I'm going to let you all buy it. The guy that sold it always takes my sales so I'm taking this one. Good for us, but I'm thinking how awful of a co-worker that is. After purchasing the camper, we are told to come back on a Saturday for pick up. We live 4 hours away from this dealership and make the trip back to get out camper. As we wait along with other unhappy customers we learn even more about this sales lady and her tactics. We waited nearly an hour before doing our walk through. During the walk through with Stanley, we are told that the damaged table and missing remotes would be replaced. Our sales lady, Alyssa told us this as well. As we finish the walk through, we are told that the sway bar we had couldn't be used. After a heated conversation with service, it in fact can be used and no need to purchase anything else from Camping World. So we wait more. At this point, its lunch time and are irritated. We were not told we had an option of picking a time better for us nor were we told this walk though process could take all day. Had effective communication been a part of Camping World's vocabulary, we could have been prepared. We sign papers and think we are off to have fun with this new purchase. Not exactly, there is more! We have placed our paper work in the truck and a very nice young man is helping with a few details on the camper. We turn around and the man we signed papers with us going through the truck getting some papers out of our folder (that we now don't have copies of). A few weeks later, a call is placed back to this store to inquire on the table and remotes and we were told, it would be mailed to us. All of this occurred in June and as of today, there has not been a delivery of anything to us. That said, I would be ashamed to have these people on my payroll. I would not trust this store or its employees ever again. More
