After an accident that wasn't my fault, I took my 2016 ACRA MDX to be repaired at Carolina Collision Center in Lexington, NC. Unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing. After the initial "r ACRA MDX to be repaired at Carolina Collision Center in Lexington, NC. Unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing. After the initial "repair," the paint job was completely off and the color difference was extremely noticeable. They mentioned that silver is a tricky color to match and agreed to fix it. The second time, the paint looked great! However, when I got my car back, I noticed a crack in the windshield. It was NOT there before. I'm 99.9% positive they caused it, but they refuse to admit fault. When I first brought it up, I was reassured me that there were cameras everywhere & they would find out how and when it happened. But the next day when I spoke to the general manager, she mentioned that cameras wouldn't be able to identify such a small detail in the windshield. To make matters worse, my car isn’t fully repaired. It drives dangerously by the auto correct is malfunctioning pulling me all over the road, which never happened before the accident. The shop claims it's not related to the wreck and suggests it might be due to the windshield needing calibration, yet they won't fix it because they don't think it's accident related. What I’m having trouble understanding,How can they not know got sure causing something. But be certain it wasn't caused by the accident? Makes no sense at all. My car didn't do this before the accident, but it's doing it now. Additionally, I also have scratches on the A-pillar from them removing and installing the new fender and painted door moldings. These are minor things that I was not happy with, but would not complain about had I not had this terrible experience. They did offer to fix the scratches, but at that point, I wasn’t getting anywhere with my windshield and I felt like I was being done incredibly wrong so I decided I was not not bringing my vehicle back in a third time. I am disappointed that my vehicle has not been restored to its pre-accident condition, as stated on their website. For what it’s worth, Everyone at the office is extremely kind, but kindness doesn’t change the fact that when you do something wrong, maintain integrity & make it right as a business owner. Overall, my car is still not fully repaired, I've been left with a vehicle that's unsafe to drive. I wouldn't recommend Carolina Collisions to anyone based on my experience, especially if it's more than just bodywork. They've been paid, but my car is far from fixed, and now I'm left to deal with it. More
The sign in was easy and an estimated time was given for the service including 2 new tires. It was explained that the service staff took lunch at noon and our appointment was at 11:00. I was ok with the ti the service including 2 new tires. It was explained that the service staff took lunch at noon and our appointment was at 11:00. I was ok with the time I had to wait. The time did go over as I due to the tires not being in stock as the car required a special size. I was informed of the delay and I appreciated being advised of the delay. All in all our wait time went beyond the original estimation which did not surprise me. It should be noted that the same problem happened when I bought 2 tires in Ft. Myers FL. Based on my previous experience in Ft Myers I understood the issue. I want to thank the staff for keeping me informed of the delay. I will be back for the next service due on my car. More
