I had an appointment for a 5000 mile service and a NC inspection. Upon arrival, I reiterated about the inspection, and also mentioned something about the back up camera not working occasionally. The service advisor never mentioned anything about an estimate of price and just got in the car and drove off. About 45 minutes later I was informed that my car was ready and that my charge was $219. Literally $75 more than the last time I was there. He told me “the price of oil has increased” and Capital Chevrolet had also increased pricing for services. I was so mad I just paid the bill and left. Upon reviewing g the receipt when I got home, I realized the inspection hadn’t been completed and there was nothing done to check about the backup camera issue. I called and they said I could make another appointment for the inspection, 2 days later. Now I have to make another trip to the dealer just for the inspection. This is completely unacceptable and a waste of my time and money that I need to make two approaches for an oil change and inspection. This will be the last time I deal with Capital Chevrolet. Never had any issues when it was Ocean City but ever since Capital took over, it’s been a complete mess. More

Service advisor started off being somewhat facetious when he made the first customer contact. The technician and I have known each other for twenty years and I felt more confident about the outcome. Still hard to believe the problem was solely the fault of a bad battery, but pleased with the outcome. Really unhappy with the cost involved in the repair. Parts, labor and misc charges are the real reason I take my vehicles to independent garages. More
