I had a bad experience with capital Hyundai. I want to take my car to get it painted. Bad bad very bad. In response to my vehicle’s check engine light illuminating, I contacted the Service department to schedule an appointment. When I arrived for my ap In response to my vehicle’s check engine light illuminating, I contacted the Service department to schedule an appointment. When I arrived for my appointment, the Service representative said that a technician would not be available to inspect my vehicle for 10 business days. I was asked to leave my car at the Service Center. No loaner vehicle was available, so I rented a car until my car could be inspected, serviced and returned to me. A week after dropping off my car, I got a call with the Technician’s recommendations. There was nothing in the recommendations that indicated why the check engine light was on. I agreed to the coil and spark plug replacement as recommended by the technician. The service representative charged me for replacing coils and spark plugs and did not bother to check that they are covered under warranty. I was not charged for the replacement. I leased a vehicle at my own cost. I have not been reimbursed for the cost of the rental car. Finally, the day after taking back my car, the check engine light came on and has been on since bringing my vehicle. Except for new spark plugs, I am in a worse position than I was before taking my car in for inspection and service. Please hire more technicians at this location. At this location, I have had only good experiences in the past for the scheduled maintenance services. I leased then bought my car from the dealership. I want to know what is causing my service light to be on and what needs to be done to fix it. I want to be reimbursed for the cost of the rental car. More

I brought my 1985 Hyundai Sonata in to have 2 more recalls taken care of. Jessie came out to meet me at my car, took the keys and got my paperwork submitted right away. I opted to wait for my car in the waiting area, which is very nice by the way. I was told it might be 3 hours. I questioned that since I made an appointment and was told the service would take 30 minutes. I asked "why make an appointment then"? My car was finished and I was NOT notified, verbally anyway. I was sitting 20 feet from the service counter, watching the guys come and talk directly to their customers, or shout to them. I assumed the same would happen for me. I looked at my phone and saw that Jessie had sent a text that my car was finished. Unfortunately I didn't see that for 45 minutes. Service did a thorough check and I was given a loooong piece of paper with everything I need to have done. Unfortunately, I had just spent a couple grand at AAA for them to figure out why the check engine light was on and to fix the issue, which by the way was never resolved. I can't afford to keep dumping money into what I think is a lemon. I purchased it in 2018 with 29,000 miles on it, not a word about that specific model/year and all the issues people had encountered. This was NOT purchased at Hyundai, but at Enterprise. My car only has 71,000 miles on it now. I have taken good care of it, but for whatever reason, the light still remains. I have been to two Hyundai dealerships in the area. Capital Hyundai is by far the nicer of the 2 with several service guys at the counter, and they are pleasant. In a hurry but pleasant. The other dealership was always a negative experience. More
