Everything started out great. When it came to the exchange of funds from my loan institution to CarMax, the check didn’t arrive in time and it was made out to CarMax 19500 Northwa When it came to the exchange of funds from my loan institution to CarMax, the check didn’t arrive in time and it was made out to CarMax 19500 Northwast hwy store. I only found out 2 weeks later the check should have been sent to CarMax auto finance office. The check is being returned to my loan institution and I have to reapply for the loan. I did get the truck I wanted but it was at a higher (two percent) rate through CarMax. My advice before signing, make sure you have the correct address of where the funds should be sent to, and how long it will take to get to the destination, before having your institution send a check. Otherwise, things were pretty straightforward, shout out to Brother Chris and the rest of the brothers in that store, true professionals. More

This is my 5th car I have purchased at at Carmax and so far so good on my latest purchase. Everyone at the store was very friendly and the whole experience was fast! I have only 1 suggestion; do better detail cleaning the car. The interior windshield and rear hatch window was not cleaned and the metal were the rubber seal is was very dirty. Not really complaining, just want a better cleaning for the next guy. Another thing, I thought I would be using my bank to finance, but Carmax interest rate was way better then my bank! I've have bought many cars from CarMax the last 15+ years. The Service Department is great: Saul and Tijuana! The last two cars about (the last one last month) have been a nightmare with the paperwork! years. The Service Department is great: Saul and Tijuana! Just today I was informed that the refund check sent to me was an error and had to be sent to the credit union. Similar financial challenges happened last year with the car I bought. Last year, the car was never fully paid off- the payoff was off by one month. I was not aware of this so I paid it late. I've bought a total of 5 cars in 15+ years. I do not have faith in this dealership (service dept excluded). I will not buy another car from this CarMax. More
