Carmax in oceanside and in general are hands down superior to carvana. Very best experience in buying a car! Could not imagine that I found the best price (for me) and mileage. Then CarMax took care of everything else! a mixed review from my end. My first time with the CarMax model and I like the low stress that it entails. My dealer fell down on a few fronts though.. - Sales guy who I initially worked with made the final appointment with me in order to buy and pick up the car and he no-showed, something about it being his day off, suspect he got canned. - To their credit the Manager scrambled and I worked with someone else who was very competent, However.. when we picked up the car service engine error code was asserted (perhaps more points needed on the 125 pt inspection) - The good news is that after 2 visits to the CarMax repair facility issue got sorted out, covered under the 30 day warranty - So, the good is the low stress buying experience along with the 10 day return and the 30 day warranty. The bad.. lack of attention to detail which matters, of course for this type of large purchase More
