Carmax in oceanside and in general are hands down superior to carvana. My dealer fell down on a few fronts though.. - Sales guy who I initially worked with made the final appointment with me in order to buy and pick up the car and he no-showed, something about it being his day off, suspect he got canned. - To their credit the Manager scrambled and I worked with someone else who was very competent, However.. when we picked up the car service engine error code was asserted (perhaps more points needed on the 125 pt inspection) - The good news is that after 2 visits to the CarMax repair facility issue got sorted out, covered under the 30 day warranty - So, the good is the low stress buying experience along with the 10 day return and the 30 day warranty.
