CarMax is the best place to purchase a vehicle, they make it easy and the vehicles are high quality. I did the express pick up, which was so easy! The sales team in the store and on the phone were amazing and the business office was awesome. The only concern I had was the condition of my vehicle. When I arrived the vehicle had a bow on it but was filthy inside. Dust and hair on the dash, the vehicle smelled bad, crud all over the passenger side seat, windows look like they have never been cleaned, carpet needed to be vacuumed and the side of the drivers seat was broken. I know they will take care of it, but they knew I was going to look at that specific vehicle, their reconditioning could use a lot of help. More
We had great, hassle-free experience. Our appointment was for 2:30, but we arrived a bit earlier than that. We were greeted as we came through the door and helped right away by Brad. We were able to test drive the vehicle and we decided to buy it. We were also given a fair price for our trade in. Will definitely recommend Carmax to friends and family. More
No pressure--our salesperson (Jake) was great. It did take the car considerably longer to get prepared (we ordered it from Fresno) than had been estimated and we came very close to purchasing anot It did take the car considerably longer to get prepared (we ordered it from Fresno) than had been estimated and we came very close to purchasing another vehicle instead from another vendor. But overall we're happy with our purchase and fine with our second CarMax experience. More
thought it saw rather bad weather, she brought two cars for me to look over and went through several more on screen. She printed out the information on one for me to look over later. Overpriced, don't get what you pay for. So this review is twofold. One when I bought a very specific car, I knew I'd pay a premium. Turned out I paid $6,000 OVER book, and that's not their fault. It was a car I wanted, so I knew I'd pay more. Didn't balk at the price. I expected since I did pay a premium, I'd be treated better. The sales person told me they'd replace the convertible top that had a small hole in it. They did not. The sales person said that the top would be covered under warranty (That I paid for) It was not. Even after all this, I still chose to buy it. Hard car to find, so I get it. You want a certain car, hard to find, super low miles, pay a premium. That's not why I'm upset. I'm upset that even though they made a very healthy profit on me, you'd think they would want to keep me happy, reasonably. So, I bought a rather all inclusive warranty for my car, and it developed a ticking noise about 4 months after I drove it home. Called in to set an appointment, that took 7 phone calls, getting disconnected twice (or hung up on?) only to set the appointment that should have taken 5 minutes, that by itself took nearly an hour. So I get there, they look the car over, tell me that they'll keep me abreast of the information. They never actually called me,I had to call 3 separate times to see what the issue was with my car. What was the problem? When they sold it, and did the services, they neglected to properly torque the spark plugs and one had become loose. So, I get to pay $56 for their mistake. It literally took them 10 seconds to fix it, and I got charged $56. Seems "fair" I get to pay for their screw up. Great job guys! Stay away from these people. They try really hard to come across as "friendly" and they do, but it's obvious it's very phony. The employees look unhappy despite trying to keep a happy face. More
