purchased a vehicle in September from the Riverside location, got 20 minutes away from the lot and the engine light came on and then that the car was overheating. How is this even possible?!?!? They sh location, got 20 minutes away from the lot and the engine light came on and then that the car was overheating. How is this even possible?!?!? They show you and tell you all these inspections they do and yet this vehicle is so bad, CarMax is telling me they won't even fix it or put it back on the lot, it will go to auction. A tow truck had to come and pick up the vehicle, yes, they were kind enough to place us in a loaner until we found something else. Requested for the new vehicle to be brought in from their Inglewood location and was told it would be 2-3 days... it took over a week and CarMax didn't even know where the vehicle was, finally it arrived we went and test drove, signed all the paperwork and was told that the original loan through my bank would transfer over to the new car, Great! signed everything and left. Less than 10 mins from my home I get a call from CarMax telling me that the loan now can't be used and I needed to get a new loan. The bank won't approve the loan because the value of the they sold us was listed for almost 3x the amount the car was worth. They tried to tell me they would finance it but at a much higher rate and payment. Soooo here I am once again, no solution, no wiliness to work with me other than stating they will finance it for more. It has now been a week, I have the vehicle and still nothing from CarMax. I have lost so much time at work dealing with this mess. I don't think I would ever come back to this location, it has been nothing but issue after issue. More

I like the buying experience at CarMax overall. this is the 3rd car i’ve purchased there. the simplicity is nice. i’m not a fan of the hidden damage that’s not disclosed on these cars. this purchas this is the 3rd car i’ve purchased there. the simplicity is nice. i’m not a fan of the hidden damage that’s not disclosed on these cars. this purchase had 2 decent sized dents that were not documented and tires with sidewall tears. this was to “CarMax standards”. i’m not sure if i will buy another car through carmax after this.
