If I could rate lower than 1 star, I would. Worst car buying experience I’ve ever had. I went back to CarMax after two previous CarMax purchases, one at this same location just over a year ago. Worst car buying experience I’ve ever had. I went back to CarMax after two previous CarMax purchases, one at this same location just over a year ago. The salesman was new and didn’t know how to process the sale paperwork and management was too busy to help him. Due to their errors with paperwork I had to return to the store three times. The last time I was at the store over three hours when I had been told all I would need to do is come in and sign. As I was driving home in the car they called me and told me to come back because the salesman had not given me the correct instructions on signing. This was at 9:45pm after I’d been at the store for over three hours already. The manager offered to buy me dinner and I said to send me a gift card. I have yet to receive this card, adding insult to injury. They did not mark my paperwork as having purchased an extended warranty when I had. Thank goodness it was on a credit card so I could prove I had purchased it. In trying to reach management to rectify this my two emails and 6 phone calls went unanswered for a week. The store has a new manager and clearly there is a need for a lot of improvement. Do not buy at this store unless you need a lot of frustration and disappointment in your life. More
